THE SANDS OF WAR

Tribe Intro

My design process is a journey. A journey to turn things I see in the world into a functioning working design. I am trying to build this into a business, and maybe one day I can quit my current job and do this full time.

My focus will be mainly on wargaming terrain, but as I learn and get better, I will take classes and try to improve my sculpting skills. One of my major focuses is on making sure my designs not only print well with a filament printer like my Ender Pro 3, but I am trying to have them all painted too. I see many creators just posting their rendered designs without any actual prints, and if you aren't careful, details can get lost when printing.

Anyone wishing to join me on my adventure has my gratitude, and I look forward to providing you with as good of sculpts as I can.

Hi all! Been a busy month with life, but finalizing something for you

Between end of school, building a raised garden bed, planting a raised garden, and increased demand at work, I am close to releasing this for you, a crocodile god bust.

ITS DONE

Sorry for the wait, had important business to take care of. The Heraldry Expansion on my pillar and banners set is out for you all to enjoy. I specifically made a lot of different designs, to give you the ability to customize them with other designs, like the ones from the Medieval deco pack you also just got today. One way this can be achievedis in Cura, by loading both models in, doing some scaling, and putting them slightly overlapping so they will print as one unit. just make sure after scaling, that all the parts you want to have show up are there (you should disable the setting that auto drops models to the build plate if you do this way).

Anyways, THANK YOU for your support. I will be returning to a 4 - 6 piece Egyptian fort than I took a break from designing for a while.

Current Project

Working on getting this done by the end of month. Probably won't have all examples printed and painted, but will do my best. This is an expansion on the Pillars and Banners Set with more crests with heraldry symbols.

Your 3d printer

I am curious as to what everyone has to work with as far as layer heights and nozzle sizes. My initial designs were made to work well with a .2 mm layer height and a .4 mm nozzle. I have been looking at putting my standards at .12 layer height and .3 nozzle. What are your thoughts on that? I'll be honest, I hadn't tried anything outside of a 2mm layer height until about a week ago on this current project. I decided to try .12 mm and WOW what a difference. 66% detail increase is a BIG deal. I will be switching out my nozzle in the next few days too to see how that works out.
