VERTICAL SCENICS

Tribe Intro

Welcome to the Vert, friends. Welcome to the up'n'up! In this Patreon, no height is too high! Here we keep on building, block upon block, stack upon stack, until you reach the clouds. It's a long way down, so best watch your step. Here we build electrically charged, modular, stackable scenery for your Science Fiction, Cyberpunk and other modern+ roleplaying and tabletop games. Our focus is on verticality. Where most of your games are spread horizontally across one or two stories, safe and sound just feet from that stone cusion you call the street, our scenery lets you play cowboys and corpos as high as you dare, and gives you a stack of customisable options to create your sprawls just as you want them! The scenery is perfect for your Cyberpunk RED, Shadowrun, Reality's Edge or even Infinity games. Follow us on Facebook and Discord to keep up and to add your input to The Vert! I'll catch you on the up'n'up!

New Tribes Release

Hello everyone! If you check now, you will notice that the third and final part ofthe Central Space releases are in your libraries. Don't worry! This isn't the entire thing! :-D ** **I've sent over the first two pieces, the bar and the quarter circle wall, a 90 degree curved wall. I wanted to get these out as, as you can probably see if you're on any of my socials, I've been awfully busy with a huge upcoming Kickstarter project that will, hopefully, fund a lot more time for me to spend delivering nice toys to you lovely people over on Patreon... maybe some videos too :-) This way I can continue to add things to the store item and they will be sent to you even after I close your subscriptions in the coming few days. Still to come: 2 new types of wall end which compliment a 30 degree windowed upstairs wall, and the beginning of a second story system with a second story floor and attachment system. Additionally, a few wall attachments, operating table, and a bunch of wall greeblies like lockers and signs to spot around your base. Thanks so much for your support in this brief stint here, and I hope to see you all over on Patreon for the next release! Remember to make sure to sign up for the Twistlock DM Screen notifications to save over 50% on the earlybird!

Also, there are under 2 days left to pick up the late pledge of my latest project, the Super Simple Paint Racks, on MMF as a late pledge!

Catch you on the up'n'up! Iain

Kickstarter and Patreon

Hello everyone!

Just sending you all a final reminder that the Super Simple Paint Racks are in their final 8 hours so if you want to get them both for just £4/$5, this is the last chance :-) https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/verttabletop/simplepaintrackstls?ref=2gs5we

Additionally, the Tribe is [moving over to Patreon from next month](https:// https://www.patreon.com/posts/welcome-to-vert-102993284?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=postshare_creator&utm_content=join_link). Announcements!

Hello one and all, Sorry about the delay on this but I have a few announcements so please read each section. First, New minis inbound! Introducing the second part of the Central Space range. This consists of 12 files. The centerpiece is the matter transportation system which comes in two varieties. One cleaner with a mess of cables and one without. It also contains two rounded walls full of windows for your cells or medical bays, a hazardous material container, store desk, trianglulag table, and 4 bunks. or technically two bunks, but with or without cables. The ones without cables can print, as-is on your FDM bed where the ones with cables might need support or be better off in resin. Check out the pictures In May, we finish the Central Space line!.. for now anyway :-)

Second announcement: The Vertical Scenics tribe is moving to Patreon! May will be the final installment of The Vert that is delivered through Tribes. Why the move? Well, firstly, this month I have been incredibly stressed trying to deliver something to you while also working on two upcoming Kickstarters (A collection of paint racks running now and an upcoming GM screen). The Tribe is not sustainable as a business at our current size and for the money it makes and I have been considering scrapping it all together to focus on Kickstarters and building the brand... But, I love Cyberpunk and I love The Vert so I wanted a space that I could continue working on it. Patreon allows me to charge "per-creation" instead of monthly so I can continue to work on the vert as it was intended - as scenery for myself that I could then share with a community of likeminded people. The per-Creation model lets me work on it in my own time, and deliver better quality pieces that allow me to broaden my creativity as an artist without the time pressures of a monthly delivery schedule. Additionally, Patreon has some of the best community integration platforms in the game. They allow me to connect you directly to roles in my Discord server so I can find you easily and get your feedback directly on your own server without addressing the whole crowd, and also to create a community space on Patreon itself for those of you not on Discord. I'll also be releasing everything with lifetime merchant licenses for a slightly higher price, but it helps that I won't have to track and report that any more. You can head on over and sign up now! Make sure to stay here for the final part of Central Space though. I will not be releasing that on Patreon, so you won't be charged twice!

Last announcement: The Super Simple Paint Racks are in their final week! ** **and over %1300 funded. So, head on over to pick up some lightweight, simple but innovative paintracks for as little as £4!

** **Catch you on the up'n'up! Iain

April up and coming!

Hello everyone! I have to appologise for not getting round to this month's uploads yet. I am severely delayed by both real life and by two other projects I have coming. I promise you will have a new set compatible with last month's before the month is up! For now, my fellow hobbyists, here's a little project that I'm finally getting round to releasing after I've had it sitting on my desk for about 18 months:

As I say, I've been using these for months and they're a real game-changer when it comes to desk space. You can sign up to be notified on launch on Kickstarter here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/verttabletop/simplepaintrackstls Catch you in the up'n'up :-)

March Dropping

Hey everyone, I thought I'd introduce to you the next two or three month's project. Those of you who were here in December may remember that I dropped a couple of Core Space compatible scifi crates. Well this last month I've really gotten in to core space with some friends and I decided to make myself a nice little set of 3d pieces to use with the game. All of this month's releases are 1 to 1 scaled against core space, so they can be used with any scenario there, as well as fitting your RPGs very nicely! Unfortunately, I'll be a little late on this release as I still have 4 more walls to do, and some detailing on everything, including the corner pieces.

Below, you'll see that the first image displays some of the wall sections I'll be releasing. They simply slide in to some corner pieces (not displayed) which replicate the length and heights of Core Space walls, so you can use them for that game or others. There will be 10 walls in total, the other 4 and the corners just need detailing. You'll also not that there are bars through the windows. These act as supports so you can print the walls directly on the table. I've test printed them and they come out fantastically! The pegs in the top let them stack on top of each other. I'll be brining out upper story floors in a future release. In the second image you can also see that I've created a gaming board. Each square is an inch across so it'll work great for RPGs as well! It splits into 9 pieces and fits together modularly in any pattern you'd like.

Next month I'll be looking at releasing a couple alternate walls, the upper floor system and some scatter terrain to go along with the set. After all that, I'll probably Kickstart the entire set, so you'll all be the first to get your hands on it, and at a significant discount!

Catch you on the up'n'up! Iain

January offerings are up!

Hello Tribers! I've just added the January offerings to your tribe levels. Here's an image of how it's assembled. As you'll notice, each apartment is made up of up to 5 parts, and 3 apartments clip together per spool. For apartments on the bottom floor or above the lobby, just skip the apartment roof and lip sections as they are there to hold the floors together and attach to the one below. You'll need a short piece of filament to slide through the door to allow it to swing. I've test printed it all and it all prints without supports, though you could optionally use tree supports if your bridging isn't great. I'm still in the process of printing my building so more photos to come when that's done! Catch you on the up'n'up. Iain

January preview

Merry Christmas and Happy boxing day for all those that celebrate it! Today we're going to take a look at what's coming up next month. This is the stackblock. Note that it's still very much a work in progress! Quite some work needs to be done still on the roof, and the lobby needs detailing but the apartments are pretty much finished. The reason that it looks so strangely pieced up is that it has been designed to clip around a used filament spool so you can recycle those pesky things into something useful! But I'll also make a free standing one for those that would prefer that option. The concept is inspired by the Nakagin capsule tower and the idea of cookiecutter housing, so it actually only consists of one apartment which is made up of 5 pieces. Each story is made up of 3 of these apartments that clip together to make a ring, and then stack on top of each other. External walls quite comfortably sit into the frame and can be removed to access the inside, but you can also magnetise the walls to pop in and out more easily. Windows can also use 1mm plasticard like many of my other designs. The door to the balcony can open and close, but the other door that leads to the center cannot - I picture that area as a stairwell/elevator. I've designed this in such a way that security has obviously not been thought through by the architects... The roof and balcony system acts almost like stiars making each apartment easily accessible to criminals and gangs climbing the outside of the building. Making it a much more interactive and fun piece for gaming in and around. I am currently writing this to you from the UK where I am visiting family until the 4th, so I'll be a little delayed on getting this one out to you all and I would expect it around the middle of January. As an appology/thankyou for your support through that, I've extended the 50% discount I sent to Tribers earlier this month until the 8th of January to give you the best possible chance to pick up anything else you were after! All the best and catch you on the up'n'up! Iain

December drop!

Hello all, Here's a little update on next month's drop. This month we're trying something a little different. I have comissioned the wonderful Valerio Terranova to sculpt a special Christmas miniature for you all! Introducing - Nick, The saint! As I mentioned last month, this is really exciting for me as they have created sculpts that I've admired for a long time, including the Malifaux 1988 box set and the miniatures of my favourite fantasy creator, Durgin Paint Forge. Additionally I've made a couple of functional storage containers. Unfortunately my FDM printer was out of action for the last couple weeks so I've just got them off the printer tonight and tested them, and I'm so happy with how they work! They hinge so nicely on a spare little bit of filament. I'll have everything painted up for a more practical view later this month, but for now I have been practicing my rendering skills. Also introducing the hoversleigh (hover-slay?), Nick's primary form of transport to deliver the nefarious "gifts" he deposits to those that can afford them. The sleigh holds 6 minis with standard 25mm bases and the bench is removable to hold one more. Or, the crates take up a little less than 25 and 50mm lengthwise, so you can get a few of those in there. I wanted to get this in before the month ends (in 50 minutes for me) but I'll be back again soon! In the mean time, let me know what you think of this new format. Would you like more minis? More scenery? More image renders? :-D Catch you on the up'n'up, Iain

December preview and last 24 hours of 50% off!

The title more or less says it all... It's the last 24 hours for Tribers to pick up some goodies at a 50% discount! We also have a little preview for December.... I have comissioned the wonderful Valerio Terranova to sculpt a special Christmas miniature for you all! This is exciting for me as they have created sculpts that I've admired for a long time, including the Malifaux 1988 box set and the miniatures of my favourite fantasy creator, Durgin Paint Forge. I'll also be having the incredibly tallented Angel Giraldez paint this guy up and promote it through his socials. If we manage to make this sustainable and get our numbers up to 300+ founders in December, you can look forward to a new miniature added to each monthly release, along with the normal supporting vehicles, scenery or street scatter. The bigger the Tribe gets, the more time I have to release things so please share with your friends! This month will see the release of Nick, saint of war along with the accompanyment of his Hover-sleigh, an open topped hover truck with space in the back for 6, and a few functional storage boxes that I originally created to use in my games of Core Space, but realised would go well with this release as well. Catch you on the up'n'up! Iain

November preview - Work in progress

Hello all, It's time for a taster of what next month's addition to The Vert will be. I don't have a name for this one yet, so please get in the comments and let me know what I should call it! Function: You can see a bit of the structure in the missing piece on the right of the picture, but each pentagram and hexagon is seperate so you can construct it as you wish, modularly, magnetically or using a supplied key for support. The platform is entirely optional, simply sits on top and the barriers slot into it. Doors slide open and closed and window pieces have slots for 1mm plexiglass (or just use soda bottles). The structure is roughly 7" (176mm) across with 5" (125mm) of internal playing area, and the platform is slightly under 2" (48mm) across for weapons teams and also, if there's demand, I could rejig the door for shatterpoint players. Still to come: Note that this is a work in progress and there's a lot more detail to go into everything. The base piece will definitely be getting more detail, and there will be more roof tile designs, including a trapdoor leading onto the platform. I haven't done almost any internals yet. I'll have all the core stuff done this weekend so you'll have it at the beginning of November when the Tribe rolls over, and I may add some more pieces in the coming weeks. Maybe coming: I'm considering a bridge so you can move between platforms and to HabFacs, Vert structures or other scenery. I'm also working on a wiring system to light the buildings up, but it's proving a little tricky in the given space. More in the future? I have ideas to use this as an outlaw facility hidden deep in the jungle in my own game. A hackerspace with a satelite and a few... "greenhouses". Hopefully I'll be able to bring you some of the accessories to go along with that in the coming months. As always, let me know what you'd like to see over on Discord! Catch you on the up'n'up, Iain

HabFac taster kit added to the Welcome Pack.

Hey folks, Thanks so much for joining up to support me as I step into this endeavour!

This month I've added a taster kit for my newest line, the HabFacs or Habitation Facilities, to the welcome kit. It's already up so you can download it now as part of your welcome pack. Everything you can see in the pciture is included in this pack, and will be expanded on in the upcoming kickstarter which you can follow now here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/verttabletop/modularcyberpunkhabitats Once all lines are released, I will be unlocking further reward levels to expand upon these lines. All items can be printed supportless on an FDM printer! The kit can use 2x5mm magnets to hold together firmly, but will hold together just fine without them. Buildings can be firmly stacked upon one another and sides come off so internals can be accessed without unstacking buildings. Windows are designed to fit 1mm plasticard, but look fine without it.

Hope you enjoy the new toys! Please let me know if you run into any problems or need any printing suggestions over on our discord: https://discord.com/invite/yvd3aHDjYc

Catch you on the Up'n'up! Iain
