AETHER STUDIOS

Patreon Intro

We are Aether Studios, a small collective of extremely dedicated 3d artists who enjoy working together to bring worlds to life. We are extremely passionate about 3d printable gaming terrain and expansive builds for epic adventures. We publish sets of gaming terrain, vehicles, and miniatures in a constant monthly cycle. In the last 4 years of this patreon we have published over 10,000 models of terrain for our patrons and backers.  Free Sets - Newsletter - Kickstarters

We publish hundreds of models each and every month, usually about half are Dragonbite compatible tiles. The rest are Miniatures and Scatter terrain so that you are certain to get more than you can print each month. The Dragonbite Clip from Fat Dragon Games powers our tile terrain. This simple and powerful clip and slot system is designed to take advantage of the properties of PLA and 3d printed materials to allow for secure connections and easily swappable sections. The artists at Aether Studios got our start making remixes for the Fat Dragon Games community and we wouldn't be here without them. We have a very simple patreon with 3 basic tiers:

$2 - Green Jersey Fund the free sets each month and vote on polls.

$15 - Blue Jersey Get all the sets we make for patrons each month, plus a huge welcome pack, plus everything above.

$30 - Purple Jersey Commercial printing rights to all our sets, Priority on requests via Discord, 30% Discount on store purchases, plus everything above.

January Development Week 3

Wonderful patrons and tribers, fans and supporters, and lovers of tiles, we bid you welcome. We are so excited to share our third week of development with you from this decade of January. Publishing is firming up nicely, and we have much to report. This week's update is shorter on carousel pictures than normal, but heavy on full set renders, with a nice summary at post end. Be sure to check out the links embedded below to get the full scope of the work your support has made possible this month. Now, onto what we have brought to life with your support:

War War is still going to be the biggest group of releases of the month. We are on track for three sets of trench releases this month and probably three more for February. This month we have:

Wide Trenches - This set of wood style trenches from Colin Christenson is detailed extensively in posts from Weeks 1 and 2. We added a few more models to it since last update, specifically "crossover" tiles to help switch from the shooting line to back lines. Full renders here.

New Verdun - This set includes 30 new models of metal/junk style trenches from Nasos Maloudis primarily, but with the whole team throwing in something. This new trench style is fully compatible with all the previous wood trenches. It also includes at least one model (hopefully 3 by publish) for transitioning between wood and metal/junk style trenches. Includes the Syrsky class tank and ruined cross models too. We don't have full renders ready, but the prototypes are available on Discord, just give a shout that you want to join the test print squadron.

Lance Corporal Trenches - This set continues our Wood style trenches with war debris scatter throughout. We've had new models added to the scatter pool from several members of the team (Nasos, Carl, Roby, Gyula) and now we are reworking our way back through AEPWAR01, creating new options for your table. We are expecting it to publish with about 20-24 models, but this is "final" set of the month, so we'll keep adding until the last minute.

Atilla, the Tank - Carl has worked up this lovely tank for the glory of victory. The turret rotates, and it has space inside for a single oversized miniature. Treads connects with clips for easy assembly. Also available for early printing on discord. Full renders here.

Pharaoh We (mostly Will) spent way more time this week than we planned on Pharaoh. We've been working along several lines of development. We started with OpenLOCK updates to AEPHAR01 Core set. Then came a complete overhaul and OpenLOCK updates to AEPHAR06, our set of "Phreebies." This is one of our most popular free sets, and we've given it every ounce of devotion to it's improvement. You can see everything here.

Now, with that the update work finished, we turned our attention to requests for new Pyramid walls, and that "way more time" means we got a whole set built up. It also includes some of the always-requested transition models, with both walls and floors. Also including a bevy of rotating wall options, and even more filled requests from our discord connected fans. All in all, it should help make your Pyramids quite "Phabulous". You can see everything here.

Lastly, Kira and Will (with Nasos and Carl art) have got a fourth set in development for next month that will feature an Egyptian Gods puzzle, matching offerings and statues to the correct deities of Ra, Horus, Setesh, Anubis, Bastet, and Wadjet. No new renders at this time, but this one is a sure bet for February.

Eastern Kingdoms We got a good bit of time in on the Teahouse and Garden. The Teahouse will almost certainly get pushed to February as we are slowing the release to include roofs, now under construction from Carl.

The Garden of the Still Water Monk from Nasos Maloudis and Carl Csurgo will be finished this month, and you can look forward to that release within the week. Full renders here.

Space Ships Damage Control Stations is almost certainly going to get its release this month. This is one of our first attempts at models + rules to ease the load on the DM. Print and play with endless reusability for the dangers of space travel. Even if you have no use for Kira's well-formatted rules or full color cards, the models are a great expansion for the Space Ships terrain sets. Model renders here. Full rules here. Card deck here.

Asset Pack - Failed Delve This set from Nasos Maloudis (and a little Colin) is finished and will publish this month. Only minor changes since we last showed it off. Full renders here.

Junk Planet Still planning on publishing two sets this month. Both mostly from Nasos, but a few bits here and there from everyone on our team. Assembly pictures are in previous updates from this month. Full Renders Here and Here.

Dwarf Brothers Onasan This set, again from the hands of Mr. Nasos Maloudis, is finished and will publish this month. The models are presupported for resin printing. Full renders here.

Dark Dungeons The next set in this series is currently test printing, and we expect to publish this month if at all possible. Sorry, nothing new in the way of renders right now. Previous updates from this month cover things pretty well, but expect lots of passageways and a grand staircase, along with remixed elements from the Failed Delve asset pack thanks Marc's hard work this month.

For the sake of simplicity, we've added a simple list for January's publishing to the carousel. All new sets and all past sets updated, so far, this month.

January Development Week 2

Your artists at Aether Studios are hard at work this month. There is so much going on, and we'll try to get you caught up on all the happenings. We're just going to jump right to the models because we have a lot to share, and we want to get back to the workshop.

War Trenches continues to be the main focus of development this month. Multiple new options are coming for both traditional and scifi trenches. We only have time to show a portion of the ongoing work. Stone barricades, crashed zepplins, battlefield relics, and much more are filling our daily development hours. The whole team has been throwing in on the trenches. Be sure to let us know what you like the most, for additional development time and bragging rights for the artists.

We have more Dwarven Miniatures from Nasos for you this month: The Brothers Onasan. Grogus, Smogus, and Brogus are brawlers and each is fond of the frenzy of fisticuffs. We already have pages written, complements of Jonathan Long, for these in our Big Book of Dwarves that should be ready later this year. More on that as the project comes to fruition, but you can see we have quite a few dwarves for our wild world of Aach'yn.

Damage Control Stations should also be ready this month. Over 40 cards and over 20 unique models (both scatter and Space Ships tiles) for getting your crew through the most dangerous of space challenges, while attempting to stay as system neutral as possible. Kira has been working very hard on her first big project, and we are just thrilled to bring you more integrated gameplay and model sets.

Eastern Kingdoms returns this month with the long promised (and funded, thanks BJ) Teahouse set. You can see some of the scatter and garden models under development too. Many thanks to Carl, Gyula, and Nasos for working on this little labor of love.

The Grand Staircase was a request on our discord group, very excellently worked up by Nasos over the last few weeks. It is designed for the Dark Dungeon tileset (as shown) but we do hope to have a scatter version too.

Two more asset packs are worked up. The first is the Failed Delve, filled with bits and pieces of scatter that you can use to show the grisly fate of those who came before the players. The other asset pack, Junk, is much larger. It is likely to split in two or three packs as we finished collecting everything.

Thank you so much for supporting Aether Studios and helping us bring these models to life. We couldn't do it without you!

January Development Week 1

This month is already off to a huge start. When I started writing this, I thought it would be a small update. But, this post is going to be anything but small. It is going to be heavy on War Trenches, and Junk Planet, and Ruined Villages. But, and I apologize for the broken record routine, the month is young, the year is fresh, and the fire burns very hot. Many other projects are coming to fruition, and being stuck inside the house during the present winter weather is surely a boon to all our patrons and tribers.

We'll be dual publishing in OpenLOCK and Dragonbite bases this month, as well as updating older sets with both bases. It might mean we publish fewer sets than normal as we get into new production routines. Or it could mean that we publish more than usual, because of the aforementioned winter weather, or because we have more people creating for our team than ever before.

We're also switching up the Welcome Pack this month. Hedge Mazes, Capitol City, and Shacksburg are leaving the Welcome Pack. Dwarven, Catacombs, and Junk Planet are taking their place. New Welcome Packs will go out at mid-month.

War Trenches will be the primary development focus of the month, with almost every member of the sculpt and remixing teams committing some time to it. All the trench work you see shown off in this update is only the work of one group of three artists (Colin, Will, and Nasos). An entirely second set of three artists (Carl, Gyula, and Robert) are working on a whole separate trench project. More on that below.

AEPWAR11 - Wide Trenches This set is almost entirely the work of Colin Christenson. Wider trenches are something that we have gotten a few requests for creation, both privately and on discord. This set will allow trench spaces of unlimited size, with every connection possibility you could need to connect areas together. This set is a true and earnest testament, ascribed by our cofounder, showing our love for requests. Wide Trenches should be an early release, going out on both Dragonbite and OpenLOCK around midmonth, to start off 2025 right.

AEPWAR12 - Lance Corporal Trenches / Village Ruins 3 This set takes elements from AEPWAR01 and adds our current "War Debris" mix to the model. In addition to Robert's remixing, it already features a few new models from Colin and fresh elements from the rest of our artists. At present, it has about 20 models but only a few renders. We'll be working on it throughout the month. Also, I tucked in the Village Ruins 3 models here, because I expect that they will get worked into this set before getting their own tile bases.

AEPWAR13 - New Verdun / Scifi Trenches We only have a few images to show here, because this set is happening in parallel, as Nasos and Will "work both ends." White Phosphorus and Thermite scar the concrete barriers. Near-future weaponry and Dug in armor, long since run dry of petrol, fights to whatever victory can be grasped. Repurposed metal from throughout the junk series, along with other new, unique elements we've yet to touch (over 50) fill in the gaps of the concrete. So far we only have a few tiles to show off, but so much - so much remains waiting to be worked. More next post!

AEPWAR14 - Carl's Team Trench Project Carl gave me a vague idea of what they are working on, but I don't want to limit his horizon by laying things out now. We will let their work speak for itself in next week's post. That being said, we do expect it to be traditional trenches rather than Scifi.

Junk Planet will also be getting a lot of love this month. Two big sets are pretty much already done: Dorothy's and Broadfoot Heights. In addition, we have more in development. Projects on the horizon include: New Gremlin miniatures, Junk Transitions, Junk Asset Packs, and Last War/Junk Trenches. Like a band of determined raccoons, we just can't stay out of the garbage.

AEJUNK16 - Dorothy's Nasos worked on this set over the last few weeks, and we are very excited to have it all together. We've mounted it on traditional junk ground tiles, all 2x2. These models are all likely to get worked into the future scifi trench series when time and tide allow. Look for this one during mid-month releases.

AEJUNK17 - Broadfoot Heights Another set from Nasos, assembled from Junk Planet sculpts over the Oct.-Dec. 2024 period. This set features 2x2, 2x4, and 4x4 tiles on traditional junk ground and with easter eggs nestled throughout. This one might still grow, so look for it at the end of month publishing.

Catacombs, being one of the new Welcome Pack sets, is getting big updates. This includes converting the whole series over with OpenLOCK versions. While we aren't planning to put new models in every updated set, some will get new models along with the dual base publishing.

AECATA0 - The Starter Cult has long been one of our most popular free sets, so we wanted to make sure the love was felt. We're adding about a dozen new models, including the bone sloped edges. AECATA01 - The Gloomcore is the primary 2x2 set and will also be getting some updates, as seen by the renders. These are mostly the hard work of Gyula, squeezing them in before heading to the trenches. More to come as we work our way through the series.

Lastly, we must speak of kings. Specifically, the Pharaohs who call to us. The time has come to update AEPHAR06, the Phreebies set. This set uses the old slot wall design that has yet to be updated to the current standard, so that is first priority. Also, it should be said that some sets are easier to convert over to OpenLOCK than others. Pharaoh is one of those. Expect it to get converted over quicker than others sets. All that out of the way, work on this set has gone far beyond what we expected. Well enough that we expect to have enough models to fill out a second free set, AEPHAR13 - Anubistart. No clue which models will end up in which set yet, so we rendered a few of our favorites for now.

Thanks so much for your support. We absolutely love being a part of your games.

OpenLOCK Master Terrain List

The 2x2 Master Terrain List and 4x4 Master Terrain List sets have been updated to include OpenLOCK tiles. We'll be working to convert the catalog over so that all sets with tiles have both base options, starting with the War Trenches and Peaceful series of terrain. To celebrate, you can get the 2x2 MTL for FREE through the new year.

December Development Week 3

All of us at Aether Studios hope you are having a wonderful holiday season. As we draw closer towards the end of this month, we're firming up nicely on what sets we will be publishing this month. Not surprisingly, most of our team has already finished all their development for this month and only the editing and publishing remains. Prodigious is the only way to describe their efforts this month, and we are eager to show the results. The Space Ship sets that we normally focus on this month have not gotten quite the number of development days as years past, so we'll probably keep several of them open for January, with more on that below. But that development time was not lost, just reoriented, as we'll explain in detail. Finally, before we get into everything, we should mention the MMF Winter sale is currently on for the next 20 days. The whole store is 30% off. Now, onto the sets that your support is bringing to life.

AEURBN18 - Children's Playground We really didn't expect to dive deep into this one when we were writing the last post. We showed a single picture from Nasos and a sentence explaining it was something we wanted to do. 30+ models later, with help from many people, we have quite the diverse playground ready, with more models delivered since we started writing this post (thanks Nasos!). The paw print pathway tiles are recreations of a concrete design from one of our oldest and dearest friends: Mike Crump. Forgive us for plug, but his Paws to Remember are some of our most treasured personal items. A set of terrain like this one is made with a lot of love, and it seemed the perfect place to include them. Also, yes, the teeters do totter and the carousel spins (with 5 different top options). Many thanks to Arcadius for the help on those test prints.

AEDARK09 - Dark Dungeons 3 Colin and I have been working on this set over the course of the month. In addition to the new 3" high walls and Wine Cellar scatter we previously showed, we have added several "axe swing" traps from requests (Thanks Bree!) and are working on some "loose brick" traps as well. This set is pretty much locked to publish this month. We might add a few more models, but overflow from this development will go right into Dark Dungeons 4.

AEPWAR10 - Private, First Class Trenches Roby and I worked on this set and it is firming up nicely, but we still have a bit more development time allocated to it this month. In addition to the models shown here, we have clip edges still to come. In addition, we will be updating AEPWAR01 next month with some new requested models like trench side switches, T-Junctions, and additional pillbox options, as well as making a new set of War Trenches (maybe even finally getting Carl's sci-fi trenches). Our business is war, and business is good.

AECAST20 - Heath Atlan, "Lord" of the Drums Nasos worked this one up specifically at my request as an homage to one of my oldest friends. We never actually checked to see if anyone else needed hippie dwarven miniatures, but we do hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

AEDSRT12 - Port Prince Dwellings No new pictures of this one, but we still do plan to get it out this month. Only a small amount of work remains on this set of buildings. That being said, if there is one set we will let slide to January for a passion project, it will be this one.

AESS371 - Damage Control Stations! The basic game is complete, and the models are done. While there are no new renders at this time, we do plan on getting more combined Rules + Models like these out and are eager to hear your suggestions for fantasy games. Many thanks to Kira for this one, we couldn't have done it without her.

AEAP0001 - Thicket Assets This asset pack will definitely be going out this month. Final work is complete, and full renders are ready, with the big image showing off everything included.

AEAP0002 - Crop Planters While working on thicket assets, we ran across lots of crop models that were not exactly "thicket" but still deserving of separate publishing. These crop planter scatter models are sourced from a few sets: Halloween, Aztlan Chinampas, Peaceful Farms, and more! They will be ready for harvest this month. Full Renders are ready, and this set is locked for publishing.

AEURBN17 - Football Fields First, as promised, we've got the uprights done. The American Football field is designed with an option for wider fields for the variable requirements of tabletop games, while the European Football pitch focuses instead on accuracy in radial symmetry. Also, we got some corner speakers added in to fill an awkward gap in some of the tiles for the upper stands. Lastly, and most importantly, in an effort to be equally offensive to all sides, we have labeled the American tiles as "Handegg" and the European as "Soccer." Full Renders Here.

AESECR02 - Secret Empire Core Interior This one has had a fair bit of work to flesh out a full set, but a bunch remains. It seems more likely for a January release than December, but it is still too early to say. No new renders since December Post 2, but about two dozen models are ready for early test printing if desired.

AEJUNK15 - Apocalypse In Style We showed off some of these models, all 2x2 models, in the 1st post this month. Since then, Nasos has put quite a lot of time into growing the set, and we are looking good for a January release.

Each of these scifi sets mentioned in the last 2 months are still in development, but it is unlikely more than one of them will see release before the end of next month. Each one requires just tons of development time to do right, and I am going to do them right.

Station Garok Nor Cube Ship Iod'Ni class Bird of Prey USS Whittier

These sets below are ones that are done and posted, or pretty much done and available for early printing for patrons/tribers. Either way, we covered them extensively in the previous updates this month. Links go to the renders.

December Development Week 2

Wonderful and amazing Tribers, we have had another banner week of production here at Aether Studios. As we mentioned last post, this month is traditionally the time of year that we like to dive into Space Ships sets. This year will likely end up being one of the bigger years, though by no means will it be our entire month. We've got quite a lot to show you and this is going to be a very Space Ships heavy post, so let us just blast right off together.

AEPWAR10 - Private, First Class Trenches (New) First, let me say that these models were done by our new remixing artist, Robert. Robert doesn't know it yet (unless he reads this) but, Carl and I have already set a grand quest for him - to remix at least one of every single model in every War Trenches set. The first dozen of these are ready now for test printing, but as many more remain to be completed. Still, these 12 models are a very good start for our War Trenches release this month.

AEDARK09 - Dark Cellar (New) Colin's Wine Cellar built on our Dark City tiles is looking outstanding as well for this month. Please let us know any additional tiles you'd like to see in this set, Dark Dungeons is one of our favorite sets for which to make new models.

AEURBN17 - Football Field (New) Colin has worked up the net for one sport, but the uprights remain, along with a handful of tiles. We also have a small children's playground in development that may accompany this release, with some models ready to give you an idea of what we are doing.

AESS371 - Damage Control Stations! (New) We're doing something different this month. In addition to the scatter and tile models in this set, we have the rules (and cards on the way) for a minigame / skill challenge appropriate for resolving all the fun dangers of space. Kira Lepier the writer and designer of this challenge. Kira is one of the new friends we've made up here in West Virginia. She is passionate about TTRPG games, and we are thrilled beyond words to have her work on this project!

AESS334 - Mark XII Warp Core (New) Almost all the work is done on this set, and it is ready for test printing for any eager patrons or tribers who want it early (send us a message). The Warp Core comes available as scatter, on normal height walls, and double height walls. Both wall options include "Plain" and "Deluxe" versions. It is hollowed for extensive LED work and clips right into the base for stability during the worst of red alerts! In addition, we have a dozen new 2x4 walls featuring additional JT panels, consoles, and even some Tucker Tubes. Full renders of this set by next post.

AESECR01 - Secret Empire T'roxi Class Bird of Prey (Update) As we mentioned last post, we've been working on upgrades to this old release. In addition to the new landing struts, we've got quite a nice array of tiles already worked up with many, many, many more on the way.

AEBORG01 - Cyborg Empire Cube Ship Tiles (New) The files for this glorious project were delivered earlier today. So if you don't hear from the Director for another week, this is the reason. I plan to give myself over to the collective on this one. Maybe this month, probably next or later - Queen Jurati only knows how long I'll need to assimilate all the new models.

AEOBSD01 - Obsidian Empire Station Garok Nor (New) You can see development well underway for this set. It is looking very promising, but still with so much more room to run. More updates next week as things firm up.

AEHONR03 - Honor Empire Transporter (New) This one has been on the publishing list for 2 years. It was supposed to go out last December, but it got accidentally missed. Such things are dishonorable and bring great shame to our house. Still, we hope you will accept our apologies and welcome it into your house for service.

These sets below are ones that are done and posted, or pretty much done and available for early printing for patrons/tribers. Links go to the renders.

December Development Week 1

Patrons, Tribers and fans, we welcome you to our 76th month of development and hope you are keeping warm with kith and kin this holiday month. Long-time supporters know that we like to do a lot Space Ships sets in during December and this year will be no exception. Though, we won't be spending all our time in the stars this month either, with additional desert, war, and modern urban sets all looking golden for publishing, among others. Let us get right to your sets under construction:

AEURBN - Football Fields (New) This set has seen a lot of progress for this set since our last post. We're about 80% done with our planned work, and so much month remains. In addition to the usual challenge of not knowing every tile configuration you will need until you start building - this set has the additional challenge of the Director not attending a sport event in time increments of decades. Still, we'll do our best to throw a homerun right through the uprights for you, just as soon as we get those built.

AEDSRT - Desert Dwellings IV (New) We have three new buildings from Carl and Gyu, with even more on the way. Our first 3 level building will be with this set, and it is also compatible with models from Dwellings III released last month, so you can mix and match the levels if desired.

AEJUNK - Junk Planet Ruins The next junk planet set is well underway. Nasos has really been on fire this month with additional work all over the catalog, including this fan favorite.

AP0001 - Thicket (New) Our next asset pack is the one we started putting together first, but as things go, it needed extra time to get sorted. Thicket is our main woodland theme, and this set features about fifty models of the foliage we use to bring those tiles to life.

AETWAR - MASH Unit 8055 (New) Nasos has thrown himself into the war these last few months, with several new sets in development, including this one. This one is on track for January, but not set in stone.

AEPWAR - Trenches (New) We currently have 3 different artists working on trenches, not including the Director who is working with each of the artists individually. While we can't say for sure exactly which team will be first "over the top," you can trust that all hands are committed to the cause and as soon as we have fresh intel, we'll call it in to HQ.

AEAZNK01 - Aztlan New Kingdom Core Set We added another dozen or so models to the set. Originally launched with 41, it is up to 80 models now. This set continues to expand with the pace and intentions of a viper strike, and we hope your players find it just as deadly. Full Renders.

AESS310 - Space Ships Core Interior (Update) This anchor set has had about a dozen new models added, along with new renders for the PDF. This free set continues to be one of our most popular downloads, and we love pumping this one up with fresh content. Full Renders.

AESS311 - Space Ships Core Passageways (Overhaul) This expansion set has always been needed for the corridors and passageways of a proper starship. Like the Core Interior set, it has also received a few upgrades post-publishing, but now we are giving it a full overhaul. We rebuilt all the tiles, all 48 of them, and all using the best practices learned from the 15,000 models we've done since this set was first slapped together. We also added 3 more tiles because that's just what we do with overhauls. Full Renders

AESS314 - Space Ships Flagship Passageways (New) While rebuilding the Core Passageways set, we remixed this brand-new mirror set with additional tech greebles and circuitry. The result is 51 additional passageway tiles that include extra bits and pieces from the previous four dozen Space Ships releases. Full Renders

AESS324 - Space Ships Auxiliary Control (New) This is one of those sets that we probably worked on a dozen times, with just twenty or thirty minutes per development session. Slowly pushing it along over the course of a year, waiting for the December publishing stars to align. Full Renders

AESS334 - Space Ships Mark XII Warp Core (New) We (ok, maybe just the Director) just really love warp cores. We've done versions of the Enterprise NX, A, & of course the big D's Warp Cores in the past, but Carl worked this one up at the personal request of the Director. This Warp Core comes as a scatter model, but also fits perfectly onto a custom double height 4x4 tile, that itself is made to custom fit a larger 8x8 area inside our California-class variant ship under construction. More pictures on this soon.

AESS353 - Probe Ops (Overhaul) This was a small bonus set of only 8 tiles that we published several years ago. It also got a full overhaul this month, improving the printability, and increasing the set by almost a dozen models. Full Renders

AESECR01 - T'Roxi Class Bird of Prey (Update) Carl's first HUGE & FREE space ship got some additional love already this month. By request, we have added landing struts to the wings, which should greatly help their stability. We're also working on a small tile set of walls for release, based on art deco themes we see on Romulan ships. (heavily weighted towards TOS). Those tiles might be a separate release, or we might just fold them into the ship update. Either way, we'll get renders of the work to you with the next post.

November Development Week 3

Our third week of development is now behind us, and we have many updates on our artists' work and on the sets going out this month. While a few things are still up in the mix, we're mostly locked in for this production cycle, and we'll go over everything in detail.

Before we jump into the new work this week, we want you to know that right now our entire catalog is 50% OFF for the MyMiniFactory Black Friday Sale. Use Code BF24 for the discount. We normally don't do sales (this is the first one of these we've participated in) as we normally offer discounts through Kickstarter projects. Now, onto the art!

Breakthrough Trenches We've been putting the time into trench work this week. A set of 10+ busted trenches looks fully locked for this month, with more models firming up for future releases. Besides these "Busted" trenches, we have multiple additional sets in development so please let us know what features you most want to see!

Alien Plants An alien desert has been one of our plans for a while, and we've been gathering these models for a while. Getting all the models together gave us the notion that they would make a fine little scatter pack. These all print great on FDM without supports, so your players can warp right into those strange new worlds. Broken Concrete We've been stocking up on these assets because Junk Planet is one of our favorite settings. Concrete, steel, and exposed rebar, all for FDM printing. As with the previous paragraph, once we got these models together, it became obvious that a scatter pack release was in the best interest of our patrons and tribers.

Stone Snakes Scatter Not sure if these will get a separate release or added to Embassy of the Scale, also for release this month (more below). Either way, these 8 snake models were brought to life by Nasos earlier this week. While thematically, they match much of our existing Aztlan art, they are generic enough to fit almost any fantasy setting.

Winery Might be this month or next, but Colin has started a new set of scatter for winemakers and lovers of the grape. More on this as soon as we know!

City Sewer Management We've got this set up to about 30 models and it is locked in for release this month. Full renders aren't ready yet, but you can see the highlights here.

Embassy of the Scale This large building and assorted scatter models are ready for publishing. Full renders aren't ready yet, but you can see the highlights here.

Ru Kalaat's Tower We're going to do one more tile for this set, a thicket flora version of the 4x4 base, otherwise this set is ready and will go out this month. Renders here.

Desert Dwellings / Empire Crossing The first 3 buildings are ready, though it is possible we may add some additional tech elements to the [tech] versions of the tile bases. We're planning a lot more for this series with many additional buildings, including 2-story structures, in progress. Renders here.

Junk Planet / Last War We've made a little extra progress on this, and the set is sitting at about 30 models. This set is scheduled for a little more development before publishing, so expect gains. This will probably be the last set to render and publish for the month, but you can see the highlights here.

Warp Coils In addition to the tile based models, we worked up some scatter warp coils so you can put your faster-than-light tech wherever you want. Setting a course for publishing this month. Renders here.

Highway Restroom While it is possible this one could get held back, it does seem very likely to release. We've got baby care stations installed, and the in-counter trash receptacles are due to be installed on Tuesday. Things that might cause this to be held up: modular stalls, prophylactic dispensers, vending machines for the exterior, and an endless, gnawing sensation that causes me to abandon all previous intentions and sculpt a new roof, playground, parking spaces, etc. and pushing it back another 3 months. You can see the out of date, but reasonably accurate, renders here.

The Phylactery of Al-Natal This prop is set for release this month. If you've ever needed to store a soul for the long term while ascending to the supreme unlife of a lich, we've got you covered. Renders here.

Football Pitch & Stands If you've read this far, wow - thanks. Colin worked on a special modern urban project a while back that got side tracked. For too long have these tiles waited for publishing, countless times planned as part of a larger project only for delay and replanning to interfere. Expect them soon. Maybe this month, maybe next, but SOON!

Thanks so much for allowing us to grace your table for another month. It is our honor to be a part of your game.

November Development Week 2

The 2nd week of November is now behind us. With its departure, we have many new arrivals from the development of our artists. Our artists this week have been working the proverbial fields of their own projects, and we are eager to show you the growing fruits of your well-sown support. As with most "mid-month" updates, we can't be 100% sure about which sets will make it this month, but we'll try our best to keep you updated. Strap in, because we have a lot to update you on.

City Sewers We've continued to power through requests sent to us via personal messages and discord. We've added an LED Torch wall to the set, a rotating secret wall, and so much more. This set is now over 30 models and will continue to grow with your requests this month.

Junk Planet / Last War Our newest Junk Planet set is forming up, with options on the traditional Junk Ground and on our newer Terra Garbage style, in addition and by request, we have a set of transition tiles to better merge these styles.

Desert Dwellings Several new desert dwellings have been prepared by Carl, are now ready and sure to go out this month. Carl continues to work on new buildings, and we may have more before the month ends. These 4x4 buildings come both in plain and slightly up-tech'd versions for use in both fantasy and sci-fi settings that may require vast worlds of sand. Roofs are interchangeable and scatter terrain models are also available.

Desert Cliffs Rework Desert Cliffs were one of the first projects that Carl did when he started with us. Now he is managing two other artists and punching out 3-4 sets per month (plus commissions). Some of the best layouts we've seen done use these cliffs, but still they were first. Since they were made, we've created hundreds of additional desert models, and the opportunity to improve our work and improve your options was irresistible. While we are just getting started with this work, it is going to be a large focus of ours until we see it done. Could be this month, could be as long as January, but I do not see it taking much longer than that.

Trenches, Busted We briefly showed a few of these last post, but we've made a few more and are starting the next stage - broken wood planks. This set probably won't make it this month, but it is still too early to say. A single day could see this set get most of the work it needs, but schedules must align. From Carl and Colin.

Trenches, Slug War The whole time, we thought we were fighting the Jerries. Then the first of them came over the top, blasted some snot at Pvt. Biggens and his face melted off. Men were screaming left and right. They said war never changes, but they didn't fight in this one. From Colin Christenson

Space Ships Warp Coils In addition to the work on the very, very large Space Ships set U.S.S. Whittier, we have two other smaller sets in development that are scheduled to publish before the end of the year. Warp Coils have long been a staple of Star Trek adventures. These large space-metal components convert warp plasma energy into warp bubbles that allow a ship to travel faster-than-light. I just think they're neat.

Space Ships Fluid-Gas Storage In addition, we have another Engineering-based set on the way, Fluid-Gas Storage. You need tons of fluids and gasses in space. And big storage tanks are awesome terrain for the inevitable phaser fights of boarding parties. Both of these are still pretty early in the design process and scheduled for next month, but one could squeak through early depending on development.

Space Ships Cetacean Ops No pictures of this set yet, but it is one that we have started. Additional research is needed, but thankfully Lower Decks has done a few episodes featuring this oft-spoken, rarely-seen area. Space Ships Mark XI Core No pictures of this set yet, but it is scheduled for rapid development later this month. This warp core is much smaller, designed to fit in the limited space of the U.S.S. Whittier's Secondary Hull, but still be iconic. We'll be basing the layout on the extremely efficient design of the Defiant class.

Honor Empire - loDnI' Class Bird of Prey Nasos and I have been working on this forever, the most complex and intricately designed model we've ever done. Slowly, but surely, we charge onward. I'd love to be able to put aside the 20 or 30 (or 100, whatever) days needed to finish this, but our first Billionaire patron has yet to let themselves be known. Maybe next year.

CyBorg Empire Resistance is Futile. This section of Cube Exterior should give you a very good idea of the theme we are assimilating. The Cube will reach Sector 001 by next month.

Magic Item - Phylactery of Al-Natal While most people won't need an odd looking prop such as this, it is among the most powerful MacGuffins in our own game world, Aach'yn. Thankfully, Gyula was able to bring it to life recently.

That is all we have for now, thanks so much for supporting these projects and this studio.

November Development Week 1

October will be our 75th consecutive monthly publishing. Being good at something and being able to do it for others, with your support, fills not just our bodies but our souls. Our thanks for 6 years of your support cannot be expressed with words. So we will keep trying in the way we know best: Art. Here is a look at what a few of us are starting with this month.

Aztlan Embassy of the Scale This one has really come together. Models are done for the building, but we're trying to spend a little more time working on the snake scatter, which prints separately. Gyu sculpted this up based on a request from our Discord group.

City Sewers About a dozen models are done in this update, with more on the way. If you have requests for this set, get them in fast, we'll try to get as many added as we can! The Tiburask Nasos Maloudis is working up this new colossal beast. Might be this month, might be next or the month after, depending on the keying and testing and such.

Modern Urban Highway Restroom This is another one of those projects that got away from us. Atde did the original model, then Jlaager started on the fixtures. Nasos textured the original exterior, but a fatal flaw was missed that required rework. A year later than we wanted, but since time is a flat circle, we needn't dwell on such things.

Trenches These ruined, busted trenches were worked up by Colin and Carl. We have more trenches, including some that fall into the "crimes against humanity" category, but a great deal of work remains, and it will likely take months to get all the models out. In addition to the busted trenches and the war crimes trenches, we have two other sets of sci-fi trench tiles that need to be folded into each other, and a base (Fort Zelenskyy) to connect them with. More on this in the coming weeks.

World of Aach'yn - Tower of Ru Kalaat This tower was originally part of the Seat of Spirits set from Nasos, but I wasn't able to finish it in time for publishing. Since I've had more time, I went back and cut proper entryways to every level, added a ladder, stacking pegs, and mounted it on tile (to be themed with thicket foliage). ** Space Bug Prairie** We're still working through the Civilian set of miniatures and models, coming across models we tucked away and never published. Ramon Dollatru and the Quad vehicle are going to be going out very shortly. Loyalty Packs:

The 2-Month Loyalty Pack has finally been organized and sent out to patrons & tribers. What is in this new pack? All of the Aztlan New Kingdom (AEAZNK) sets and All of the Ice Cavern (AEICCV) sets. This brings us up to 2, 3, 4, 6, and 7 month Loyalty packs. Missing a loyalty pack? Send us a message and we'll get you sorted ASAP!

Updates:

AEDOCK01 - Port Elizabeth Harbor We've added half a dozen files from Discord requests. This set remains incredibly popular, and we love supporting it with additional tiles.

AEDOCK03 - Crane There is a small error in the current crane. We have a fix uploading in the next 24 hours.

AEDOCK08 - Dockyards Boathouse Fixed a printing error in the boathouse building and roof. New zip is dated 11012024 AEMISC02 - Dragonbite Compatible Tile Risers This Free set has been greatly revised upon request. We've simplified it down to three risers: 1/2 inch, 1 inch, and 2 inch. The old styles of risers are still there in a separate zip. New zip is dated 11012024

KS1SKY01 - Cloud Tiles A new collection of Cloud to Water (Ocean) transitions was requested for this set. Total of 8 new models so far, but clouds are getting a lot of love this month, so more may be coming before we push the update.

AETYCH10 - Free Rent District This Free set has a few new tiles being added to it, a half bath Nook (shown in the carousel above), a double corner door, and a VR Nook.

October Publishing (Part 2)

Our post last week mentioned that Fjordways was currently on our development slate and since we got it finished, we wanted to show you what will be coming in the next day or so.

In addition, Carl's Space Egyptian Pyramid is also ready, and we're excited to share those pictures as well.

Lastly, we found another one of Nasos' Space Bug Prairie miniatures when searching the archive. Whoops. We're prepping it for publishing now.

Files are going out very soon. Thank you so much for your support of Aether Studios this month.

October Publishing

Our monthly publishing is starting to firm up, and as promised we have another post to update you on what is coming this month.

Brand New Sets

Hard-Working Dwarves In addition to the miniatures we showed off last post, we have this cheerful 6x6 (and scatter) center point from Carl.

Aztlan New Kingdom: High Points Images added of this set, maybe one or two more models, but this is pretty close to the final lineup.

Peaceful River Images added of this set, again we might have a few extra models sneak on through development, but this should be pretty close to final.

The Very Last War Same disclaimer as the previous two sets.

Fjordways No new renders at this time, but that is because it is open on our Dev computers. Very excited to get this one out this month!

Danjack El Rey & Mama Mabel The first two new models from Space Bug Prairie are ready for publishing. Thanks to Nasos for these wonderful additions.

LZ Doris No new models to show off, but Nasos says we may have much, much more coming before the month ends.

Updated Sets

We covered these pretty well in previous updates this month, so we'll spare additional lines of unnecessary and overly superfluous text-based information.**

AEAACH02 - Zol Tigan's Tower AEAZNK01 - Aztlan New Kingdom Core AEMTL001 - Master Terrain List 2x2 (Intro Set) AEMTL002 - Master Terrain List 4x4 (Intro Set)**

**Long Term Dev

U.S.S. Whittier** - This absolutely massive California class variant has been in development for over a year. We'll have more to show off next month, including the internal playing spaces, but for now just enjoy these flyby renders.

October Week 2/3 Development

AELWAR01 - The Very Last War Carl and Gyu spent most of this month working up models for a post apocalyptic war setting, full of fighting areas and the debris of combat. You can see everything we have so far right here.****

AEPCEF15 - Peaceful River Upgraded from the original Creek plans, this set is closing in on 50 models and still growing. Colin has really outdone himself with this set.

AETWAR02 - LZ Doris This Vietnam era outpost from Nasos Maloudis is all scatter and ready to resize for your modern war games.

AEDWRF - Ingot Breaker Work Crew Nasos Maloudis sculpted these for our Dwarves at work for our High Rock Kickstarter, but after talking it over with the artists on the project, we've decided to split it up between monthly releases for patrons and tribers and an upcoming newsletter.

AEAACH02 - Zol Tigan's Tower Wow this is an old set. Nasos sculpted this way, way back, and I have been slowly working on updating it the last year. So much has changed on this set that it might as well be a new set. More over, we really wanted to integrate this set with our desert terrain to give more evil options for Dark Sun type settings. You can check out the renders of the set right here.

AESYFY - Space Pyramid Outpost This will be something we work on the next few months, but Carl has got the core components done. Maybe a November release, maybe December, maybe developed for the long term. Only time will tell.

AEEAST - Hun-Lae, the Dreamwalker This was a kickstarter project that Carl was prepping in case we needed extra funds for our move to WV. We didn't need the funds, so this will be a patron project instead. This includes a few stretch goals too, thanks to some very generous support from a particular patron. More on this next month.

AEBORG - Cube Nasos is doing a Borg Cube for our traditional Space Ships Release in December. No pictures yet, but we wanted to let you know so you could start stocking up on black filament and binge-watching Star Trek episodes accordingly.

We're into the publishing run now, but we'll do our best to keep you updated with another post as this month's sets come together.

October Development Week 1/2

It has been way too long since I got a post out. We moved last month from South Carolina, just a few days before the hurricane hit. We got to enjoy the rush of End-of-Month publishing while simultaneously discovering the joys of removing water from the basement of our new place in West Virginia. Still, we are quite thankful, many of our family and friends back in SC are suffering greatly from Helene and now Milton too. As the storms have battered left and right, we've kept our sanity by diving deep into development. Here are the wind-swept, battered, and body-aching results of the last few weeks.

AEAZNK - Aztlan New Kingdom Your fellow patron, Reelman, requested this large castle like building - The Embassy of the Scale. I'm not sure when the Embassy will be ready, but it is well on the way. Current design has it as a 6x6 structure, but this is very likely to change.

Additionally, for the AEAZNK series, we have additional 4x4 and 6x6 temple models finish and in production to fill out another expansion set sometime this month or next. We also have more 2x2 to add to the main set, more in production, and more ideals bubbling up in the depths of our mind's eyes.

It appears the sun has only begun to rise on the golden age of Aztlan.

AESYFY07 - The Very Last War Carl and Gyu are working up a post-apocalyptic wasteland set. I don't know everything that is going to be in it, but we do have a few pictures to give you an indication of what the tiles will look like. More on this next post for sure, as it is their primary development work this month

AEPCEF15 - Peaceful Creek Colin has built this amazing setup using the half-sized slopes from last month's witch garden. You can see the wetland wonderfulness flowing in the pictures. We are very excited to get this one out this month!

KS6SBP04 - Space Bug Prairie 2 After talking it over with Nasos, we're going to shelve plans for a 2nd SBP kickstarter and instead release these models as patron projects. Friends of the interstellar MATO alliance, rejoice. Mammals everywhere will soon know freedom, democracy, and liberty as we rally forth to defeat the Arachnids and Carcharodons. Shown in the images above are just a tiny fraction of what we have been working on.

AEJWAR01 - Jungle Warfare Just a taste of some of the jungle combat models we are working up for the first merging of Bayou and our War models. ---Updates--

AEMTL001 - 2x2 Master Terrain List This set has been updated and VASTLY expanded with additional tiles and content. Check out all the images here.

AEMTL002 - 4x4 Master Terrain List As above, to match the 2x2 tiles. Check out the images here.

AEMTL003 - Edge Master Terrain List About half a dozen new options added, you can check them out here. Whenever the renders get done this weekend, that is.

AEMTL004 - Transition Master Terrain List Now in development, stay tuned for additional details.

AEICCV - Fjordways Needs more dev time. Now that we are moved in, we have it scheduled for additional work.

AETWAR - Huey Test printing errors, currently in revisions for additional printability.

September Development Week 1/2

Work on the sets for this month has already reached a fever-pitched pace. The whole team has thrown in to make sure this month continues to offer that magic mix of quality and quantity that is an Aether Studios monthly release. We're moving the HQ this month from South Carolina up to West Virginia, so grant us a bit of grace as this month's first post is all over the place. I could not be more proud of our artists this month, and I am so excited to show you what our team has been working on. So let us plow right in!

AEAZNK01 - Aztlan New Kingdom Core This set has been updated and grown from about 30 to about 40 models. We've got nearly all the tile configurations that are most requested during the design process, and are continuing to expand this one set to include everything you could need in the 2x2 size. This update is already done, you can download it now. What is yet come? Half Height and Double Height tiles and more torch walls, verandas, and more!

AEZNK03 - Aztlan NK Meeting Points AEAZNK01 will continue to be 2x2 focused, and we will use the AEAZNK expansions for bigger areas of 4x4, 4x6, and 6x6 tiles and scenic centerpieces. Carl and Gyu are still working on Aztlan, and focusing their efforts on larger areas this month. You can already see the first of these efforts above, though more remain unseen, with those offerings coming with the next sacrifice post.

AEICCV10 - Fjordways We've been slowly working on this set the last few months, and it has really started to come together. The elevated areas combined with spiked barriers will make for some very interesting encounters as your players travel the icy wastes. Like a chorus finding its harmony, this one has really come together beautifully. We have big plans for creating pathways, narrow gaps, steps up, recesses down, and much more. Let us know what you want to see in the comments below and on Discord.

AEBAYU05 - Kal Hoo-yn Cove We said we were gonna monthly releases for Bayou, and here you can see Nasos Maloudis turning that boast into a kept promise. This set has so much further to go, so many unique areas, transitions, remixes and micro-biomes to explore and exploit for the benefit of your table.

AETWAR03/04 We've got two new technical models in progress for our wargamers. A Huey Helicopter from Nasos and an Atlas Class guided missile cruiser from Carl. While our plan is to eventually do damaged versions of these (including our best effort to recreate the final hits on the Moskva from the Ukraine War), Pristine technical models will get the first releases.

AEBWAR01 - LZ Jefferson-68 Nasos is working up a classic landing zone Scene from the Vietnam era. As I am writing this before I have seen the pictures, I'll have to let them speak for themselves.

AEPCEF13 - Peaceful Hillside The Shallow Hills from Colin are done, clipped, and prepped for addition to this recent release. But since we have a bunch of new patrons recently, we'll re-release it this month so no one misses out on this latest addition.

AECLIP08 - Clip-On Graveyard So we actually made most of this last year, but we just ran out of time to do it right. So we slowed the dev roll and doubled the set from our original plans, and we're still not done. You can see everything we currently have right here. In addition, every model is also available with passthrough versions, as we ever seek to increase into infinity your tabletop possibilities. What is still to come? It's hard to say for sure, but we have heard rumors of a gibbet for miniatures.

AEPHAR11 - The Pyramids of Csiza We're going to re-release this set this month because we are adding some new models to it. Will there be more? Only your requests have a say. FYI, I think this set contains my biggest broken promise of 2024. Pyramids of Csiza was the development name of this project, I had promised Carl Csurgo (the sculptor) that I would never, ever name it that for release. Just in case you were wondering.

AEDOCK - Buildings, Shack, & Sewer Updates In addition to dockyards Buildings we showed off last month, Colin is also doing a new Docks Shack. In addition, we had a request for a sewer altar that Colin whipped right up.

AEWEEN01 - Halloween Most years we try to add additional models to our Halloween Set. It's a favorite holiday of ours, and we've been adding to this set regularly. This year will be no exception, as Colin has made a witch's hut to add to this classic. Since the holiday is approaching, and we are already rereleasing so many other sets this month, we hope you'll forgive us for adding another treat into the bag <3.

Thank you again for all your support. We can't tell you how much we appreciate it. It is the greatest honor having a place at your table.

August Development Week 2/3

We're well into the progress of production and pre-publishing of this month's models. Our upcoming move of Aether HQ is still taking up an inordinate amount of time, so this post may be a bit lighter than usual. Rest assured, there's been much more done than we can reasonably render and show, for now. Much is still up in the air with our move, but we should be finished by the end of September, and we'll let you know where we land. Now, let's talk about what our artists have been up to since we last checked in.

AEAZNK - Aztlan New Kingdom Károly and Gyula continue to carve their way through this set at a breakneck pace. A massive new dwelling fit for purposes most delightful is waiting only the finishing touches. In addition, we have a new 4x6 Entrance wall with sliding doors and a new ziggurat rise. More to come as these two artists continue to chase the dreams of lost empires. Not sure how much of what is pictured (and not pictured) will be going out this month, but the production isn't stopping anytime soon. You can look forward to at least one to four months of releases in this series, as Carl and Gyu know they have all the time they want to play in this wonderland.

AEDOCK - Dockyards Sewers Colin is still adding finishing touches to the Dockyards buildings we showed off last post, but has preferred to spend his time (as I do) in the dark and danker places. Sewers has gotten a lot of love, and we hope the pictures have you as excited as we are. This set will definitely be going out this month.

AEEAST - Eastern Kingdoms Work continues on the new temple roofs (and now pillars) for our upcoming set. This temple will also include a bonsai tree pond, a statue of a great warrior, and possibly ninjas. In the distance, rumors run wild with talk of a beast that marches and shakes the whole earth. Not since the Jade Emperor ordered the trapping of the four dragons have such things been spoken.

AEBAYU - Bayou Dwarven Ruins I Remixing the files from Carl, Nasos, and Cryo has been my primary task of the month. Shaping and shipping the Dwarven stone slowly and deliberately for these six 4x4 tiles has been my task this month. All the while dealing with the special hell that is modern real estate (and agents) and channeling that fury into a unique destruction theme. The models in this set are much more eroded and overgrown than any Dwarven ruins we've done before, but will fit perfectly with all swamp past releases.

August Development Week 1/2

This month marks 6 full years for our patreon publishing. Normally we celebrate this month with bonus releases, lots of extra fun sets, and huge re-releases. But this year will be a little different, as we are moving Aether HQ from South Carolina up to West Virginia. WV puts us a lot closer to the conventions we want to visit and to the mountains where we feel at home. We've already got our current home under contract for sale, and have a contract in place on a new Aether HQ in the Bluefield, WV area. As we've spent the last 45 days working towards these personal goals, this update may bet a tiny bit lighter than normal. Now, let's jump into the work our team has been working on.

AEAZNK - Aztlan New Kingdom Both Carl and Gyu have been working on new models for this series. There is more to show that they have done, but these first three images on their own would make a great expansion, and we surely have more to come!

AEDOCK - Dockyards Colin has returned to the seaside, once again working up new marvels for ocean-adjacent adventures. A massive new set of Dockyards Warehouse as well as a second set of Dockyards sewers will help make this a very excellent month for your seaside campaigns. AEDOOM - Doomtech The miniatures set we mentioned last month has firmed up with "Middle Management." Hellishly evil and mundane in their demonology, these three minis are sure to be quick favorites! AEBAYU - Bayou Dwarven Ruins Cryo and I have been working on this one for a while, and while a little bit of work remains, you can see it really coming together. In addition, Nasos is working on new jungle roots and foliage for additional bayou expansions. AEEAST - Eastern Kingdom Temple Roofs Nasos primary effort this past week has been on these incredible temple roofs for our Eastern Kingdoms setting. We are really looking forward to showing off more of these as soon as we can! AEPCEF - Peaceful Shallow Hills and Clefts Colin has worked up some additional requests from our Discord group, with these new models forming the core of a new set of gentler, shallower hills and openings.

AECAVE - Astir Caverns While work continues on the railcart side of this set (files are just huge and time has been scarce), this one models is part of a larger 3 part ramp setup that was a request on Discord. The central trench is for players to squeeze down inside while a doomball rolls down. The patron only had to mention it was inspired by one of our favorites, and we set right to it. We hope it finds equal use in your own cavern setups, with much more to come

AEAGOD - Gods of Aach'yn We dont yet have a name for the Seahorse god of the Oceans, but we're sure one will swim up sooner or later. This model is getting a lot of extra work, so it is hard to say for sure when it will come, but it is well on the way.

AEMISC - The Game of Ur Thanks to Colin, the oldest board game in the world is now available for printing and use in your game worlds. Many thanks to our cofounder for so many great sets this month! Six years of working on this has been a great joy Colin, thank you. Thank you to everyone.

July Development Week 2/3

Just a quick (ha!) update on the last week of work!

AEELRT - Electro Rail Trains This last week has seen a flurry of development into our train sets. After 4 attempts, I finally have managed to prepare Jake Armor's Orc Train for printing. Along with it, we have new train cars, new train tracks, and so much more (still left to render) like a caboose for the Fairhaven Line, Flatbeds, Banner Ad Cars, Tanker Cars, new Roof options, and yet even more! We've neglected train releases for too long. We aim to fix that over the next year or two, as our train designs are getting a lot of love of late. Furthermore, we do have a few things rendered already, you can check them out here** **and here. We expect to get at least two releases this month, including one for our Green Jersey Tier.

AEDOOM - Doomtech Already we have two Doomtech sets waiting to go out, Hell Reactor and Agonarium. Both of these are multi-leveled structures for tier-based encounters. Updates to Doomtech Core, Hellscatter have seen a dozen extra models or so added to each set. On top of all of this, 2 or 3 additional Doomtech sets remain in production from Nasos. Doomtech releases are for Blue Jersey and Purple Jersey Tiers.

AEPCEF - Peaceful Arbor While the vast majority of this set remains to be processed, we have it well in hand and the files are full of thickety goodness. Cryo, Marc, and I have set ourselves, each day, to the business of growing your woodland options. We can report that business is good, check out the first models in this set here. Peaceful releases are for Blue Jersey and Purple Jersey Tiers.

AEMIOA - Aztlan Ally Coins Gyu is following up on the success of his Zafiri Runestones with a new set of Azite Ally Coins. Each one grants the bearer safe travel to the realms of Aztlan, as well as binding them to a quest, if requested by their serpentine hosts. 16 designs (and side quests) in total, going out to all patrons and tribers, Green Jersey and up.

AEEAST - Eastern Kingdoms Way back when we first released AEEAST01 - Eastern Kingdoms Bamboo, we had a few models that, generously saying, could have used some additional supporting. Reclining Buddha has gotten a new pillow, and we've retired this old, poorly printing model. Instead, we have a brand new sculpt from Carl that is a marked improvement in every area. Why the quick, unannounced pivot to updating the Eastern Kingdoms sets? Well, soon the massive sounds of falling footsteps will herald the year of the turtle. Great portends and opportunities are about to present themselves, and we wanted to get our temples in order. Expect a quick blitz over the next 6 weeks to update this series with more information falling quickly. With AEEAST01 getting fully rebuilt from the ground up this month, it is only fitting that we also re-release it this month for our Blue Jersey and Purple Jersey Tiers. Check out the current models in the set right here.

AEAZNK - Aztlan New Kingdom It's still too early to show off any pictures of the work in progress, but we promise it is on the way. In addition to a brand-new tile set from Carl, Gyu has also started a small masterpiece of his own that is sure to be a huge hit with fans of Mesoamerican terrain. We're taking our time with this one, and it is not going to get a release this month, but we do hope to have the first images ready by next post.

Scouting Reports since last update have a few new developments: Next month will surely feature the next Gods of Aach'yn Release, with an as-yet unnamed Seahorse God of the Undersea. We also know a treehouse set is still coming from Marc, a new Dark Dungeons set is coalescing together, and a Dark City Belltower is waiting for final technical adjustments. In addition, we have an early look at new Jungle models for next month from Nasos.

KS3 - Sky Islands 1 In addition to the three sets we squeezed out last update, we're adding a fourth to this month's releases. The Airship Factory is now out for the backers of our 3rd campaign. Pledged for this KS and can't find your files? Missed this campaign and want it all at a discount? Send us a message.

KS6 - Space Bug Prairie Nasos and I are both in love with this setting. MATO, The Mammal Alliance Treaty Organization, funds both a vast, interstellar navy and a hardened force of ground troops dedicating to securing the galaxy for all mammal-kind. Sky-dropped Apefantry join forces with Prairie-Dog sappers and engineers in an all-out war with against the arachnid threat. Currently, Nasos is sculpting new soldiers (apefantry) and a massive new "technical" APC. If you missed this campaign and still want your 40 acres and a nuke? Shoot up a flare here.

July Development Week 1

We are off to the races with July Development. Our entire team of artists has already set themselves hard at work. We have a lot to share with you, both new sets and new loyalty packs. First, let us take a look at some of the sets you have funded for development this month!

AEDOCK15 - The Wreck of the Lady Bernadette Colin returns to the dockyards with a new oceanfront pub, generously repurposed from the remains of a broken hulk. This open, playset style terrain set is sure to be a quick favorite among your players. Full renders of the models in this set Here. AEBAYU03 - Jungle Brick Pathways Cryo and Will continue to cut new paths through the jungles of last month. Our team is setting a goal of 12 jungle tiles a month for the next 3 years in an effort to quickly build up the largest, most diverse, and best built jungle terrain on the market. Full renders of the models in this set Here. AEATLN16 - Thelassic Depths The whole team threw in on the latest Atlantis set. Thelassic depths features both miniatures and terrain for your undersea adventures. Many thanks to all our artists for their extra special work on this set. AEDARK07 - Dark City Belltower We've been working on this one for a while, and we finally have it getting close to a publishing state. We increased it from a 4x4 to a 6x6 building, and are working to add Dragonbite clips for supporting each level. AEDOOM - Doomtech

We have multiple sets of Doomtech in progress. How much of it will get published this month is a good guess, but at least 4 different sets are in progress. More info in the next post after we get a little mid-week development time in on this personal favorite.

Loyalty Packs

Last week we introduced 4-month and 7-month loyalty packs and distributed them to patrons and tribes folk. If you haven't gotten them, let us know. As always, you can see which sets are in which pack by checking out the catalog spreadsheet.

Scouting Reports

Looking ahead to next week we expect to have the first look at a brand new Aztlan tileset, 100% original, from Carl Csurgo and Gyu Ponusz, with possibly a little extra help from Nasos.

In addition to a new set of cave tracks, Josh is working on several new sets for our Electro-Rail Trains!

We will also be showing a huge new thicket & treehouse set from Cryo and Marc next week!

Kickstarter Releases

Three new releases for our Sky Islands 1 backers! The Pink Cloud, Dwarven Battle Barge, and Pirate Patrol Ship. Take to the skies with these three new airships from the stretch goals. Missed Sky Islands 1 or 2? Send us a message for late pledges!

Thanks again for all your support, for helping us keep the lights on as we work to create the finest collection of gaming terrain ever assembled.

June Development Week 3

Welcome Patrons and Tribesfolk. It is time, once again, to share and celebrate the hard work of our artists this month. There a quite a few new supporters this month, so I wanted to take a special moment to say thank you. This month will feature some amazing art work, and it is all thanks to our amazing community. We are so glad to have you join us as we work to create the largest, most diverse and exhaustively comprehensive terrain catalog in history. Here are some more of the sets we expect to be publishing this month.

AEBAYU02 - Scatter Terrain In addition to the 30+ model set of AEBAYU01's tile terrain, we will have a separate release of scatter terrain from Nasos that Cryo and I have worked to expand. The set is currently at 26 models, but we are looking to add a few more before publishing this month to blue and purple jersey supporters. More renders here as we get them processed.

AEATLN16 - Paragons of the Depths Colin, Nasos, and I have all worked on the models in this set. We expect this set to publish this month to blue and purple jersey supporters.

AEFANT20 - Shroom's End Nasos Maloudis has been working on this model for quite a while. We've shown it off before, but the final work to prepare it for you has taken a little more time than expected to get right. All that is in the past, as this model is primed for a June release. We're still working on a thicket version, but it won't hold back the release of this set if we don't finish it. The Scatter and Cavern Tile versions will publish to all Patrons and Tribesfolk this month, regardless.

AEDWRF36 - Shophouse Nasos Maloudis worked this up for our Dwarven Kickstarter, but we don't want to delay its release and use. We have a whole set of scatter to fill out this house, and we will likely get that into a set sometime in the next few months. Until then, we hope you will find many uses for the Shophouse. We do expect to get this one out to blue and purple jersey supporters this month.

KS7ROQ0 - Opening Implements Inconceivable as it might sound, Colin outdid himself with this set of scatter terrain. It is filled with favorites and requests from our discord. Don't be fooled by this one being a kickstarter set, it will be a FREE set for all. We just want to make sure that everyone has fun storming the castle.

AESYFY06 - Dead Ship The centerpiece of this set will be the 6x6 giant alien from Carl.

AEBAYU01 - Rexy's Bayou Work has firmed up on this set. We'll surely have a release this month to blue and purple jersey supporters, with no less than forty 4x4 models. We already have developed the 2x2 tiles as well, but we haven't had time to develop them yet, so we'll save them for 03. You can see full renders of the set as it is here.

AEBAYU03 - Unnamed Set You can see here the early work we have prepared on this set. Almost everything you see here is the result of two people. Nasos Maloudis making core models and CryoMarine making remixes. The teamwork shown in these models speaks to a pride that I cannot properly express with the poor superlatives of the English language. Suffice it to say, these two men have filled me with an honor and obligation to see their hard work published as fast as possible. We're listing this set here because it's entirely possible it is ready this month or early next. However, it works out, we can assure these models (and more) will continue to receive the lion's share of our development time. You can see full renders of the set as it is here.

AECAVE05 - Astir Caverns Probably not going to get much work this month, but that is for a good reason. The primary artist on this set, Josh, got married this month. They return from the honeymoon soon, and we all wish safe travels to the newlyweds. We'll update you next month with this set and its development.

June Development Week 2

Wonderful patrons and tribesfolk, the time has come again for us to report on our efforts this week. Our artists thank you again for your generosity in funding these new sets. Let us run right towards adventure and take a look at more of the models you have helped bring to life!

AEBAYU01/02 - Rexy's Bayou This set is a glorious combination of half a decade of swamp work added to the finest jungle models ever produced (though I may be a bit biased). While tile development will continue for quite some time, we are going to see an additional Scatter only release this month as well (Renders of that next week). To say we are just stepping foot into these jungles would be an understatement. This one is a full team effort: Nasos Maloudis sculpted most of the jungle, with Carl doing the tile components, Cryo on remixes and Windy on Renders. You can see Full Renders of the WIP tileset here.

AESYFY06 - Dead Ship Renders of this set's tiles are now ready, including additional models sculpted this week by Carl. Evil continues to infest these scifi tiles with new 4x4 and larger scenic options coming! ** AENSHP02 - The Knarr** Colin has set himself hard at work making a new ship for your adventures. This viking style raider features a swiveling mast and easy print, connect, and play utility should you quickly need to amass a fleet.

3 Month Loyalty Pack #2 Yes, we've already have one 3-month loyalty pack, but surely you have the stomach for another?!?! We're gathering favorites from the last 12 months and beyond to stock up a second helping for those who fellowship with us for three development cycles. Here is the current menu, with us reserving the right to add more sets to this list at any time.

AEAADV17 - Xavar's Rise AECAST16 - Kesa Tartalan AECAST17 - Tisza Bloodfeather AEATLN15 - Kelp Forest AEDSRT09 - Desert Scatter 3 AEDSRT10 - The Sea of Sharks AEDMLD01 - Dreamland AEDMLD02 - Dreamland Items AEDMLD03 - Dreamland Pipeworld AEDMLD04 - Dreamland Transport Pipe AEDMLD05 - Dreamland Houses AEKNGA01 - Konga Rising AEKNGA02 - Konga Sacrifice AEKNGA03 - Konga Dark Place AEKNGA04 - Konga Wooden Wilderness Palisades AEKNGA05 - Konga Ape Strong AECLIP06 - Clip On Farm Fences AECLIP07 - Clip On Library AEGOTH04 - Gothic Cloister AEPHAR11 - The Great Pyramids of Csiza AEPHAR12 - Secret Pyramid Entrance AERUIN01 - Ruined Villages 1 AERUIN02 - Ruined Villages 2

June Development Week 1

We've been a little under the weather at the start of this month at Aether HQ, so this will be a shorter than normal update. Work has begun on multiple new sets for this month, as well as continuing work on unfinished sets from the previous month, Bayou/Jungle and Caverns.

First up, we are showing off these runestones from Gyu. 20 unique, hand sculpted runestones for whatever mystical needs your game might have. We may have more for this set before the month ends.

Carl has started work on a Horror-themed remix of the Project Deadalus tiles from last year. Carl has been wanting to dive into this project for a while, so expect a lot more this month on this set.

Colin has been working on a new viking style ship as well as completing a massive overhaul of the existing AEDOCK09 Rowboats set. Speaking of things Nautical, we have quite a few new models for the existing AEDOCK01 Port Elizabeth harbor set thanks to Colin and Cryo, including the epic cave entrance.

Lastly, both Gyu and Cryo have started to dive into their first original tile sets in earnest. Feywild Thornlands and Cracked Glacier. Words can't describe how proud and thankful I am of these two gentlemen. If you want to learn about making tiles, the doors are open.

We'll be back next week with more to show off, including the Shroom House, Minecart tracks, and Jungle & Bayou.

May Development Week 3

Another week has passed, and we are chompin' at the bit to show you our efforts. We strive to create the finest, largest, and most comprehensive catalog of terrain in history. With your help and the seemingly endless joie de vivre that is Tilesmithing, our Victory is both well-in-hand and inevitable. Let us jump right in to what you have helped us bring to life:

AEDSRT10 - The Sea of Sharks This set has received more than an even share of the development time this month. Did we mention this is the Director's favorite location in our game world? Tons of additional sharks have been added, as well as many desert wastes tiles fit for any campaign. A special thank you to Cryo for helping me remix up the waste tiles. You can see all the work we've already finished Here, but a bit more remains in development. This set will definitely go out this month.

AEDOCK08 - The Boathouse Colin comes at us with a Dockyards double-header this month. A second docks set has finished construction with a lovely 4x6 boathouse and looks very solid to go out this month. You can see all the models in this set right here. This set will be going out to Blue and Purple Jersey patrons and tribers.

AEHELL01 - Flesh Made Hell Abbadon continues with a new gearworks secret stairs entrance from Marc Weatherhogg. In addition, we've been continuing our slow quest to expand and remix Vaidas original models. This is probably going to be a June release, to give us a little more time to fill out the set. For sure, it will be a release to all patrons: Green, Blue, and Purple Jerseys.

AESEWR01 - City Sewers We're over 100 models in this set, with work this week mostly on waterway and cistern areas. The test Prints are literally perfect (thanks again Ian) and this set is assured a May release! Still currently planning a two-tier release, with a free Basic set and an expanded Master set. You can see all the tiles we've got worked up Here.

AEMTL4X4 - Master Terrain List 4x4 We're still closing in on about 130 models in this set, all of which is built around making it easier to use your favorite tiles. We are 85% complete and this set is locked to finally release this month. You can see everything in development right Here.

AEBAYU01 - Rexy's Bayou We didn't get any work on this set done this week. But the silver lining is that it will move into prime position for development next month. Nasos, Carl and I will all be adding to these jungle wetlands.

AECAVE04 - Astir Caves We spent tons of time on the next caverns set. It will primarily feature minecart tracks, probably about 250 variations based on the current development path. Already we have spent 2 months working on this project, refining the standard track layouts, creating new ones, and optimizing our cave tiles for track remixing. The tracks will continue to be standardized with the FDG cave tracks from years back.

AEFYWD05 - The Plane of Thorns Gyu has just gotten started on this project, and we only have the first WIP image. But to consider that this is only his second month sculpting anything, we are excited beyond words for the unlimited horizon he has before him.

AEFANT20 - Shroom's End Nasos Maloudis has been working on this shroom house for a few weeks. It should be ready for release next month! ** AEDOCK09 - Rowboats** This was one of our first sets, from the original Dockyards publishing run. Colin very generously agreed to update it with a new development cycle full of options.

We'll see you next week for the publishing post! Thank you again so much for all your support. It is an honor for us to make these models for you.

May Development - Week 2

It has been another week of development at our usual pace. We have a lot to show you from our artists this week. Let us dive right into the models your funds have helped us produce this month.

AEDARK07 - Dark City Sewers We're up to almost 80 models in this set after dedicating a large portion of the week to getting it prepped and with the special help of Gyu and Cryo. Test Prints are coming up aces (thanks again Ian) and this set looks like a firm lock for a May release! Still currently planning a two-tier release, with a free Basic set and an expanded Master set. You can see all the tiles we've got worked up Here.

AEMTL4X4 - Master Terrain List 4x4 Months of work to catalog, collate and format this set are coming to fruition this May. We're closing in on 130 models in this set, all of which is built around making it easier to use your favorite tiles. You can see everything in development right Here.

AEBAYU01 - Rexy's Bayou Carl and Nasos have been putting serious development time into this new set. It will surely be one of the finest jungle sets ever brought to life, and all of it due to your generosity as patrons and supporters. It is going to take several sets to fully develop all of these models. We will be giving it all the time it needs for excellence. It is still too soon to say if we will have a release this month, we should know for sure by next week's post.

AEAACH02 - The Tower of Zol'Tigan This was one of our early sets from 6 years ago. We've reworked it and massively updated the interior for playing. We added some freshly remixed catacombs desert tiles to give you more scenery to work with. You can see everything in development right Here. This set is part of our 3-Month Loyalty pack and will be an update to the current set.

AEDSRT10 - The Sea of Sharks We showed off a few pictures of this set last post, but more is in development. Nasos, Will, and Cryo are all putting in the extra hours on this labour of love. Did we mention this is the Director's favorite location in our game world? Expect more wonderful things to come. You can see all the tiles we've already had a chance to work Here, but a lot more remains in development.

We have some updates on new stuff we have going out to previous Kickstarter backers. We regularly add new models to our early Kickstarters. Both to bring them up to the level of our current development and reward our early fans for their support.

KS1 - Swamp of Sorrows KS1S0S31 - 2 new Miniatures, Thorvald the Giant and Hammerhead Wereshark KS1SOS11 - This set is being massively expanded with rework models. It should quadruple in size, and we hope to have renders of the rework next week.

KS2 - Aztlan Awakens KS2AZM04 - A large rework will bring a dozen new models (frogs and turtles mostly) to this set and offer models without bases. Renders soon!

KS3 - Sky Islands 1 We'll be making the final push to finish off the last stretch goals over the next few months, including three new skyships that are nearly ready. Thank you again for all your support. We really love making models for you.

May Development - Week 1

After forgetting to post at all April, we promise to do better in May. We've started this month's development at a lightning pace. Here is everything we have in the works right now.

AEDSRT10 - The Sea of Sharks This is one of the larger areas of our game world, Aach'yn. The silt sea is so fine that ships float on it, and sand sharks eat anything and everything that falls overboard. In addition to the dorsal-fin tiles, we have a diverse area of wasteland desert tiles for any setting also included. This set so far has been a joint effort between Nasos, Gyu, Bryant, and Will, with everyone letting their individual talents show. We do expect to publish this set this month, going out to our Blue and Purple Jersey Patrons. We have renders of the current set are Here. With so much month left and this being literally one of the director's favorite places from our game world, you can be assured it is not the final set of renders.

AEDARK07 - Dark City Sewers We've had requests for a more traditional sewer set for many years now. After doing Aztlan Sewers and Aethertowne Sky Sewers, we're ready to tackle this request. Carl has taken the lead on this project, and we will have more to show as the month goes on. We do expect this set to release this month, likely with a two tier release. A free set of basic tiles, and an expanded set of tiles for Blue and Purple Jersey patrons and tribers.

AEDOCK07 - The Wharf Colin is expanding the Dockyards Port Elizabeth Harbor set with this new remix. It features fish parts, dock scatter, strange fungus, barnacles, nets, and sewer entrances galore. This set will go out this month to Blue and Purple Jersey patrons and tribers. Full renders of the current set are Here.

AEDMLD04 & 05 - Dreamland Pipeworld & Dwellings We have two sets of Dreamland coming this month. First is a remix of the pipe tiles, with a Gearworks piston setup from Marcus T. Unleash the magic of pipe-based transportation to your players with this absolutely AWESOME set. Secondly, we have a set of House tiles and roofs to match the Dreamland Pipeworld tiles released in March. The Transport Pipe will go out to all patrons and tribers, while the Dwellings will go out to Blue Jersey and Purple Jersey patrons and tribers only. Full renders of these current sets are Here and Here.

AECAST17 - Tisza Bloodfeather The huntress of the Bayou is shaping up for a release. Nasos Maloudis has been working on this miniature to accompany our new massive jungle set (more on that below) and it seems she will be ready first. We expect her to go out this month to all patrons and tribers.

AEFANT18 - Horne Haus This is the second of three models in a series of "wee hovels" from Nasos Maloudis. It features a removable roof, full open interior, and a scatter or thicket base for use. We expect it to go out this month to all patrons and tribers.

Next week we will have updates for you on our massive jungle and swamp set, Rexy's Bayou as well the release of the Master Terrain list, 4x4 Edition. We will also have quite a few updates on Kickstarter sets too.

Thank you again for your support of Aether Studios. It is an honor for us to make these models for you.

AEMEL001 - Master Ends List

Ever since we released the 2x2 Master Terrain List, we've wanted to put this set together. BJ Altman put up a request for it this month, and we decided to spend the last bit of free dev time into getting it together. So here is the latest "Master" set, Ends. Clip Covers and Clip-On Edges, Balconies, and more. This set will go out to all tribers this month: Green, Blue, and Purple Jersey tribes subscribers.

We'll get this set, and the rest of the monthly sets, published and sent out in the next few days.

Here is our latest entry of our Dwarven Kingdom terrain series: The Dwarven Flower Exchange operates on a simple basis. You can trade 1 gold, or 1 flower not in inventory, for any other flower. With the current stock, business is booming. This tile and scatter set should feature a little something for everyone to love. We hope you'll agree. AECAVE02 - Keen Caverns (Big Update)

We're up to about 80 models right now for this set, and still going. We really, really hope you like these spider caverns, because we have poured every spare minute of dev time into them. Hopefully, the path this set has taken is on part with your expectations from us. We will see this set to go out in just a few days to all patrons and tribesfolk. Thank you all for helping us create it.

This month is not the finish line for this project, we'll be continuing it next month with new tiles and especially Scatter terrain at the request of some of our most beloved patrons and tribers. Keep your spider requests coming!

AEDOOM01 - Doomtech Core

The Doomtech series is due to get some serious upgrades this month, with 2 sets to republish and up to three new sets to be added at month's end. First up, we want to show you the massive changes to AEDOOM01. We've doubled the size of the set with new models and requested upgrades. We've also done some renaming and added the proper SETIDs to this fan favorite. See all the new pictures above!

We'll be adding this to the sets going out this month to our Blue and Purple Jersey patrons and tribesfolk.

January Sets Development

It has been a crazy month getting our Kickstarter launched, but Mimic Village is done, funded, and running strong with the first stretch goal hit. Our time and efforts return to monthly sets, and we have a lot to show off for you this month!

First up, we have a few sets already done and out to our test printers, and patrons/tribesfolk are welcome to join us on Discord if they want to join our test print team. AEDSRT09 - Desert Scatter 3 Colin Christenson put this together when we realized we didn't have everything we needed in one place for a long rest. Desert Scatter 3 solves that with a great set of scatter useful in any campaign. This set will definitely release this month! AESYFY05 - Project Daedalus Carl Csúrgó worked this up just before starting on Mimic Village, and we've been working on getting the full "Essentials" level of models finished for a proper release. More renders are available here, and we expect a release this month. AEDOCKS06 -  Sea Shanty Another set in development from Colin Christenson - the Sea Shanty. Who lives in this solitary shack out in the ocean? Is it a refuge for storm-wracked sailors? Or does dark evil live atop this repurposed ruin. Only you can decide what your players will find inside the Sea Shanty! Colin is still working on this one, so we can't say for sure if it's coming this month or not, but it is close on the horizon! AEDOOM11 - Nuclear Reactor Nasos Maloudis has been working on this one for a while. It features a playable interior and some hellish "fused to the wall" humanoids. This one is currently in development, and while we aren't 100% sure it will be ready before the months' end, we will get it out as soon as possible. AEDWRF35 - The Stone Rose Sisterhood These were sculpted for the Dwarven KS, but with Nasos blessing we are releasing them this month as a patron reward. The Stone Rose Sisterhood is dedicated to the protection of the helpless. They actively seek out the forces of evil for aggressive justice, and tend to go dungeon delving between quests to keep their wits up and vaults full. We expect these FDM miniatures to go out this month. AEATLN15 - Kelp Forest Another set from Nasos Maloudis is the Kelp Forest. Nasos has been pouring tons of development in time into this set, and the results are showing! We do expect to have this one ready for publishing this month if there is any way possible. AEPWAR06 - Historical Trenches War Trenches continues on into the new year with Historical Trenches from Colin Christenson. As their name suggests, these trenches are more historically accurate to the inspiration of this series: the western front trenches of the first World War. Also included with this set, 5 epic explosive smoke models from Nasos Maloudis. AEGWEP02 This release is somewhat unique in that it has Resin and FDM parts, but alas the design demands require resin for the extremely detailed tentacles. This cannon was a special request from one of our patrons/tribesfolk on Discord. You, too, can get your dreams turned into printable sets on our Discord group as a beloved member of our tribes & patreon communities. AETYCH10  - Free Rent District Jon Laager and I prepped this with a lot of extra love over the holidays during the free moments we could spare from kickstarter prep, and the blessed times with kith and kin. We released it on New Year's Day, so if you haven't grabbed it already, it is waiting for you! AEVILL0 - Old Villages Tower & Mimics Dont miss out on our free set for the Kickstarter! This set has a new model being added on Friday! AEMISC06 - CR2032 Battery Chest Colin Christenson prepped this little utility chest last month and thanks to Ian Huffman we have some great pictures. Many thanks to Colin and Ian for this fun little bonus set.

Jon Laager and I worked on this throughout the holidays of 2023. This set was a labour of love in every sense of the word, stealing time where we could to touch it up to perfection. Several of the tiles have movie posters on the wall. 21 Creative Commons movie posters from Theaven are provided on a pdf for easy print, cut, and glue. They have some great custom movie posters and other delightful fan art, many thanks to them for releasing them under the CC3 license for us to utilize. This FREE set is now live!

AEKNGA05 - Ape Strong

Last month we were able to get AEKNGA01-04 updated, but 05 took a while longer. Our primary goal was to get a proper "thicket" version of these walls. Additionally, we had a few new pieces of scatter terrain we wanted to get on your tables as well. The work is all done and we're ready to show off this the results. Going out soon to our Blue and Purple Jersey patrons and tribefolk. While this is technically a republish, the set did more than double in size so we feel comfortable celebrating as if it were a new release. Hope your holidays are full of many happy celebrations too!

We put this set together while doing some updating to our Caesar Cetacean flagship. We'll have a new post soon showing Nasos new upgrades to the ship. For now, we have 22 models of Ship scatter terrain to further enhance your nautical games. This set will be going out to all Blue and Purple Jersey patrons and tribesfolk later this month.

AEDARK06 - Thieves Guild Crypt

The Thieves Guild Crypt was a special request from on our Discord from Baseeats. Baseeats, aka Kevin, is a long time patron and a regular on Discord. A little ways back Kevin asked for this set. So of course, Nasos and I made it for Kevin because he is one of our favorite humans on this planet and because it was an inspired request from a well-loved locale. You too can enjoy the level of adulation and influence over our artists that others like Kevin enjoy. Join us on Discord and help us grow the largest gaming terrain catalog in history. Or not, no pressure. All of us at Aether (Kevin too!) feel like we got it under control. AEDARK06 will be going out to all Blue and Purple Jersey Tribesfolk this month.

ps. The Dire Snail model was another Discord request. This request was from Drakir and we thank Colin Christenson for sculpting it up in less than two hours after it was requested.

AEICCV09 - Ice Tower

We're excited to show off another of your patron sets this month, AEICCV09 - Ice Tower by Carl Csurgo, is now ready. Carl's daughter Roxy is a huge fan of a certain disney movie, and has forced repeated viewings upon him the last few months. His torture and/or good parenting have spawned this latest release in our Ice Caverns series. Including a fantastic set of frozen furniture to fill out your frosty floorplans. AESS370 - Space Ship Core Exteriors

Colin and I have been working on various parts of the Exteriors sets for... half a decade or more. Each holiday season, we take time to push our space projects forward. This year, the main impulse engine and exteriors are finally crossing over the finish line. Some work still remains, like the cockpit, but we do expect to ship this set (about 70 models of exterior clip on models) later this month. Test prints are ready now on Discord for those wishing to join our squadron of heroic test printers. All Space Ships sets this month will go out Green, Blue and Purple Jersey patrons. We'll also be sending out some of the older Space Ships sets used in the ship render above including: AESS311 Passageways, AESS320 Engineering, & AESS332 Armory for those new patrons who might not have them. Put simply: everything you see in the renders (and much more) will be going out to all patrons and tribers, $2 and up.

AESYFY04 - Space Gerdle Embarkation

As promised, we have continued the work on the Space Gerdle, and the next two dozen models are ready for test printing. The vast majority of this set is scatter terrain, but it does feature a few new lab floors. We'll try to squeeze a few more models in, but we're already planning the next Gerdle set around a party-sized DHD for puzzles and such other delights. Additionally, we do plan to do a rotating Gerdle in the new year from our gearworks engineer Marc 'Tenata' Weatherhogg. This set will be going out this month to our Blue and Purple Jersey patrons and tribefolk.

AESS367 - Main Impulse Engine

This massive set has been under development for a while, but now is finally ready for test printing and will publish this month. What you see is 44 tiles, all sized 2x4 and 4x4, connected to form one massive impulse engine. We used real designs for impulse drives to create this for you. We'll update this with a link to the individual renders when they are ready.

Smaller Updates

In addition to our big, new releases this month we have quite a few other irons in the fire. Here are some updates on things in progress and smaller model updates to previous releases we have coming later today.

AEDARK Dark City will be returning with this request from Baseeasts. He wanted a skyrim style crypt that slides open to depths below. So we'll be working that one up, along with the Belltower. We're also planning to get some conifer tree requests in as well for this set. Both Crypt and Belltower are from Nasos. No estimate yet on release. AEICCV Our frozen terrain will return very soon, as we have 3 sets in development. The Icetower from Carl (along with Ice Furniture) was sculpted up after repeated forced viewings of certain ice princess movies, demanded by his daughters. In addition, I (Will) have been working on the Frozen Fjordways when time permits. Lastly, not pictured but still very much in progress are the Frozen Numis set we've been punching through. We're not sure which of these will come to publishing first, but they are coming!

AESYFY Project Daedelus is on a very slow burn from Carl, meant to capture the rough feeling of Humankind's first reach for the interstellar. Not sure when this one will be ready, it is just getting warmed up. AEDOCK13 Jon and Carl's Dockyards Karlaaga pub got this new 2x4 model added. The update is already published. AESELV01 Earlier this year we published Carl's Sea Elf Village. Now it is getting two new options for the 4x4 tower, as well as new 3 new options for the 2x2 dome. Updates should be ready next month.

AESELV02 Carl has already gotten the next set, Sea Elf Ruins, well underway with a full array of ruined tiles. This one seems likely to release next month with the update to AESELV01.

AECAPC01 Shambles District is getting a new clothing store option added to it. Nasos has worked many models (and has a few more coming.) Shambles District is one of our welcome pack sets and we expect to update it with these new models next month.

AECAPC06 Capitol City Streets and Sidewalks is getting an awesome new undercity access tile. The image shows it against Shambles district buildings. We also have a non-elevated version with a false floor. This set is in the welcome pack and will be updated with the rest of the new sets later today. AECAPC02 Butcher's Shoppe is getting two new tiles for the sidewalk, compliments of Carl and Nasos. This set is in the welcome pack and will be updated with the rest of the new sets later today. AECAPC03 Curio Shoppe is getting two new tiles for the sidewalk (shown in the same picture as AECAPC02), compliments of Carl and Nasos. This set is in the welcome pack and will be updated with the rest of the new sets later today. AECAPC05 Enchanted Salon is getting a Shoeshiner for the exterior, along with a street gutter salesman, both compliments of Nasos. This set is in the welcome pack and will be updated with the rest of the new sets later today.

Please do not hesitate to let us know what else you would like to see, we do our best to get as many requests filled as we can.

AEKNGA01 to AEKNGA05 - Konga Series

It has been a wild month working these sets in the background. We have completely rebuilt the entire Konga line of terrain. We added over a dozen of new models. We replaced the very old countryside terrain with modern Dirt and Thicket options. The new giant ape rock is from Carl, it prints supportlessly in 2 parts for FDM machines with 200mmx200 printbeds. There are way too many pictures to show everything new in this series, but you can check them out Here. Going out as bonus sets this month to Blue and Purple Jersey Patrons and Tribers.

AESYFY01 - Space GERDLE

Space Gerdle shares a special distinction. It is one of our oldest and perhaps the least popular set, and not without good reasons. It was originally it was a collaboration project between Peter Kirylo and Will Walker, with a little dash Colin Christenson baked in. Our attempt at the time was to create an underground military/science facility, for games with a semi-modern setting. While it was a wonderful learning experience, the set as a whole was a failure. The floors were far too large, the posts had odd column supports, and the technology was atomic age. For five years it has mostly been forgotten, with no expansions or updates, and not a single new tile. 600 sets have been published since this early fumble, but now the rest is over. At long last we are taking a big second swing at this project, and we are ready to show off our progress.

What is the GERDLE? It is a Ginormous Einstein-Rosen Door Lightspeed Ejector. Commonly referred to as a Stargate. They look at alot like this, according to our beloved sculptor Nasos Maloudis. This picture is to be considered "Work-in-Progress" and subject to changes, but should be fairly close to our final vision. To operate such an incredible device, you'd need an entire base with full facilities for every scientific, military, and cultural development that may occur. Thankfully, this project already fully funded thanks to amazing supporters like yourself. We're still early in the month, so it is impossible to say exactly how much more we will get done with this set, but we do expect a release this month for Blue Jersey and Purple Jersey supporters.

Please, let us know on Discord or in the comments below where else you would like to see this set go. Thank you again for your amazing support to explore the universe.

AECLIP07 - Clip-On Library

This set exists thanks to a request from idmonfish on our discord group. He made this request on September 30th and it is nearly ready for release. This set represents the best of the magic we have bottled and we owe many specific thanks. To our core artists: Colin Christenson, Nasos Maloudis, and Carl Csurgo - each contributed to this set. We owe thanks also to countless other artists who contributed bits and bobs of relics and prizes we've collected the last half decade. We also thank you, all our fans for the wonderful gift of ideas and support. Aether was formed based on rapid, collective action with our fans inspired ideas. To see this still true in our 6th year is quite beyond my ability to express with words to you, our patrons. But we will keep making models to express what we cannot say. We hope this library space finds a welcome place in your games. This set looks certain to publish this month and it will go out to all patrons: Green, Blue, and Purple Jerseys.

AEWEEN02 - Halloween Graveyard

This set is one of the first ones we worked on as a team, back in 2018. We are so excited to return to it this month and add so many new models. We're not done, but what we have ready to show should give you a good idea where we are going. The pumpkin section remains to be reworked, but we will have renders ready soon on the Discord channel.

Of special note I want to thank Jon Laager for his work to get this project going. He did a huge assortment of new 4x4 pathways and together he and I made a very excellent Clip-On Graveyard Walls to complement them. With that work, we've been able to really dive into the 4x4 models as well to create many new, unique areas. This set's rework should be done this month, and will go out to Blue Jersey and Purple Jersey Patrons and Tribesfolk.

First Look October - AEPWAR05 and AERUIN02

We've already started development on the next set of war and ruins sets. For our next sets were focused on tank tracks, firing lines, and hill/cliff ruins.

Colin has already started primary development of AEPWAR05, with 16 models already finished and many more coming. Another request that we integrated into this set was for 28mm scale firing lines. Keep the requests coming, they are the ammunition for this ongoing campaign.

In addition to the AEPWAR05 models, we are working on a new AERUIN release. We routinely mix Ruins into the War Trenches, but we also prepare them for a seperate release when we make enough or get enough requests. We're closing in on that time now, and you can see from the large buildout render which models we are done and which remain to be ruined.

AEPHAR04 - Hall of Butterflies

The fourth Pharaoh set has always been an outlier. The non-fauna iconography was originally part of our artist Tia Norah's vision for an Seraphim/Atlanean temple. The butterflies were art I contracted with the meager funds we could spare the first year. Add to that, the Pharaoh slot wall system was neat, but it required a printer that was well-tuned and was unforgiving to machines that were not so. The rework of Pharaoh these last four months has been a relief in many ways.  It is very satisfying to update these old files and get a better option added. It is with all those words said that I proudly announce that The Hall of Butterflies will be coming to Blue and Purple Jersey supporters this month. 30 unique butterfly patterns on corners, walls, and (hopefully) diagonals. Also for the delve: some brand new scatter terrain that Nasos and I have been playing around with.   Admittedly, the original wasn't the most Egyptian of sets, but it was first and foremost a learning experience. Dave Townsend was learning to remix tiles and this is the set that he and I did together. I learned as much about how to teach as he did about how to remix, and we were both glad to see it successfully completed. This new set is much more faithful to the theme with 3 unique motif pillar designs, elemental stones, and the sharp corners of the Pharaoh set.  Dave and I have both grown so much since the first release, but we're still great friends and we await our next adventure. We hope this set aids your adventures! AEVILL01 - Old Village

At long last we have produced your requested classic european village tileset. We went all out with ease of layout, a wide variety of options, and every tile available in both full and half sized.

We even have the tiles prepared for multifilament printing, compliments of Matalis (and family) who did the amazing multifilament Numis tiles and test printing! We're not done either! We have much, much more to come for this set as we stock it full of models to raise up to true contender status. We've focused this set on one thing - light & moderate damaged tiles. Almost all the remaining work to be done consists of making new versions of the existing frames, with holes, brickwork showing, and other design materials exposed. More over, the first themed expansion will also release this month building off of these tiles above. We're excited to tell you more about it in the AEVILL02 - Evil Village post in a few hours.

AEVILL01 - Old Village set will go out to Green Jersey supporters, in addition to our Blue and Purple Jersey Aetherfolk. We hope you will enjoy it!

AEURBN13 - Koala State Skate Park

Atde (one of my favorite people in the world) worked up a fantastic set of curved terrain, originally imagining a futuristic world. We took both concept and models to heart - one became the last 3 Junk Planet / Numis sets, the other this latest Modern Urban release. When I saw these models I was transported back to my youth. The skate scene was huge, and videos and games brought it to even greater popularity. While working these models I was imagining a group of downtown skaters, evading a horde of zombies and busting out impressive tricks along the way. A montage of righteous stunts intermixed with the occasional zombie getting a lucky grab and thinning the herd of hero rollers. It is our hope that you will find your own use for these models, inspired by your own story that you can share with others.

Next month we will have a companion set to this: AEURBN14 - Jackal's Skate Shop. Check out the ++discord++ if you want to see a sneak peek.

AEDARK04 - Dark Buildings

The Dark Buildings set of terrain is finished and will go out very shortly. This is just the start of this series, as we have many additional building options in the works.

This simple, but powerfully useful set of terrain is designed to stack with dragonbite clips and works perfectly with ++buildings from our 3rd Kickstarter++.

The first planned expansion set will be for a Bakery. If you have ideas of you want us to explore, please let us know below or better yet, on ++Discord++'s #request channel so we can track it.

Thank you again for your support of Aether Studios - we still have 2 more sets to publish this month for you: AEPWAR03 - War Trenches 3, and AEURBN13 - Koala State Skate Park.

AECATA04 - The Vokodlak Half Sized Catacombs

This set has been in development/update/rework for 6 months. Jon Laager and I have been adding more and more each month and it is finally ready. Originally this was just a set of 5 minis, but we've added FIFTY tiles and a few scatter models too. We hope you love the work! This set will go out to all Blue & Purple Jersey tribesfolk this month.

AEPWAR03 - War Trenches 3

Originally we had planned for this to be less "trench" based, filled with other options for combat. Those plans have been discarded, as so many plans of war are as situations change. We hired a new staff member to help out, Windy, to help us get more done. With her help, we've been able to take this set to the next level. We hope you will love everything we've been working up, and we have a bit more to come. These files will go out to Blue and Purple Jersey patrons very soon.

AEPHAR03 - Statue Room

Our rework of the Pharaoh series continues with the third installment - The Statue Room. All of the pharaoh sets are part of our 3 Month Loyalty package, so Blue and Purple jersey patrons who've been with us can look forward to these and all the upcoming reworked sets in Pharaoh. To say we updated this set is woefully underselling it. The original release was only 13 models, but we worked up FORTY SEVEN additional models with this updated release. We hope you enjoy these models, because we absolutely loved putting them together for you!

AEDARK0 & AEDARK04 - Dark Gothic Series

Our Dark Gothic series of terrain has been extremely popular this year, first with the Dark Manor rebuild, then Dark Academy based on a favorite TV show, Dark Dungeons for a Witchhunter's Lair, and now two more sets in the series are ready. AEDARK0 - Dark Dwellings is the new intro/starter set for the series. It features everything you need to make the basic buildings, but with new wood & wraught-iron remixed versions of the models from AEDARK01. We like to make these intro/starter sets as freebies to let people get a feel for a series before buying in, and this will be no different. Expect a $0 price Tag when it publishes this month. (we'll add it to your tribes account too)

AEDARK04 will be the first in a series of Dark City Buildings. Each 4x6 inch section of building prints as a single section, with dragonbite clips built into the top and bottom for easy connections. These building levels can be interchanged with those from our Sky Islands Aethertowne series. Our plan is to do a new building each month, for example a Baker's Shop with a kitchen level and a chimney roof, so that your city options can grow over time and all be interchangeable with each other.

AEDWRF32 - Dwarven Promenade

We are so excited that we were able to finish up this massive set this month. This set of Dwarven Terrain has been in progress for almost three years. For most of that time we kept it as a patron-only project, working on requests and making special models to match our electro-rail trains series. This set exists because of one person: Patrick Strobbe. There is not enough space here, nor words of praise in English, to properly describe Patrick. Patrick has tirelessly worked on projects for our backers, filling countless requests and going at every challenge with a "never say die" attitude. The Dwarven Promenade will never be finished. We will be adding more to this set, requests and updates, forever. But now we hope you enjoy these most carefully tended models from Patricks' years of work. It is our honor to publish them now.

Files go out later tonight!!!

April Development

AEPWAR03 - Ruined Village This set takes a slight divergence from our current War Series, showing instead the ruins of a destroyed stone village. Every effort has been taken to make this set independent and able to fit a variety of fantasy and modern settings. We expect to publish these models to these 6 sets before the end of the month. Prototypes are available for early test printing for our tribers who are eager to join the elite test print squadron, hit us up on discord if you want to help. AECAPC06 - Cobblestone Streets & Sidewalks We had a request on our Discord group for some cobblestone streets. We have about 30 models already worked up with more on the way. AEDOCK03 - Dockyards Gearworks Crane Marc Weatherhogg put this together for our Dockyards sets. The video shows it in operation, though you will need to pick up a small chain from a hobby shop or use some spare twine. KS2AZL01 - The Lighthouse at Allizport This lighthouse is part of our Aztlan series, but was not one of the kickstarter models. Nasos worked it up last year as a fun extra during our lighthouse run and we finally got it polished and test printed. Aztlan was our 2nd kickstarter and it is finally coming to a close with nearly 1500 models published. AEXXXX01 - Shambling Mound Not sure where this one will end up, maybe feywilds or caverns. We might do more minis to match, perhaps some minions. But it has testprinted well and the paint job by Matalis has really brought it to life. Nasos says he will do more minion plants to add to this glorious mound of organic terror. AEPHAR02 - Pharaoh 2 Map Room This is an old set, but a favorite. Last month we updated the PHAR01 set, and Nasos and I couldn't stop ourselves from continuing on. The set will be doubling in size for sure, perhaps more. We're just having a blast making these setups and we hope you love the results. This set is in our 3 month loyalty pack. AECAVE01 - Swole Caverns We have about 50 new models to add to this set later this month. Tons of new fungal models, new water caves, and new carnivorous plants. Lots more coming, spiders, dark elf places, and more basalt caves. We'll be doing caves for a very long time.

March Sets in Development

We have a very awesome and diverse group of sets this month, with a lot of month left to go. Our 8th Kickstarter will be kicking off in about a month. This will feature the great dwarven tower, castle ramparts, docks, moat and gearworks drawbridge and so much more. Marc Weatherhogg has been working on an test printing for over 18 months. More to show off soon.

Last week we published and sent out the AEMTL2X2 - Master Terrain List, but we have so much more coming this month for you. Here is a look at what we have planned:

AENSHP01 - The Caesar Cetacean Your vote winner will be launching for the seas this month. Test printing has been going well and we will publishing it next. It features a massive hold, an officer's galley, a captain's cabin, and fdm printable masts & sails. Nasos Maloudis outdid himself with this ship. Many thanks to Ian for test printing this ship and the pictures.

AEJUNK08 - The Ruins of Numis City Brand new this month from Carl Csurgo, the pictures say tell the story. A brand new alien city style tile set, with a ruined and overgrown remix that is perfect for countless settings. Lots of tech, ruined parts, and more to fill your world with. AEDARK03 - Dark Dungeon Our third in the set of Dark Manor and Dark Academy, Dark Dungeon takes us to the basement level. In addition, we have more professors of knowledge and magic for your own college of educators. This set still has the most development time left in the month, so there is no telling where it might end up. Be sure to join us on discord to let us know what you want to see! Colin Christenson, Nasos Maloudis, and Carl Csurgo all worked on this set.

AEATLN13 - Jefekraken of the Abyss New minis from Nasos Maloudis and new tiles from me. Like the depths of the abyss, so equally vast is our passion to explore the deep places and the denizens of Atlantis. AEMOON04 - Space Lift Colin Christenson returns to his lunar surface set with this gearworks ratcheting space elevator on a variety of 6x6 sci-fi terrain tiles to match the Space Ships and Space Militia.

AECAVE01 - Swole Caverns Many will say we saved the best for last, and it would be hard to argue with them. This set is being stuffed with even more models due to the hard work of Patrick Strobbe. New Chasm tiles in 2/4/6 inch combinations with clips on the back for easy multi-tiered setups!! New shorter chasm style waterfalls and a dozen new water flow tiles for custom waterfall rapid adventures. Patrick is absolutely killing it with these cavern models, and with your continued support together we will no doubt take the crown of the finest and most expansively-diverse set of caverns ever sculpted for the tabletops. Thank you.

We may try to sneak in another set if we can. Half sized catacombs and mummies are close to done, as is the Gothic Belltower. Fourteen days left in a month is an eternity in AetherTime(tm), so join us on discord if you want to stay up to date on the latest or help out with the test printing.

Lauching On Tribes!

We are thrilled to be making our debut on Tribes! For those who don't know us, we are Aether Studios: a small collective of extremely dedicated 3D artists who enjoy working together to bring worlds to life. We are extremely passionate about 3D printable gaming terrain and expansive builds for epic adventures. To date, we have published well over 13,000 models for our fans and backers.

Every month, we publish hundreds of models: usually many of them are Dragonbite compatible tiles, with the rest typically comprised of miniatures and scatter terrain. The Dragonbite Clip from Fat Dragon Games powers our tile terrain. Many of the artists at Aether Studios got our start making remixes for the FDG community, and we wouldn't be here without them.

We've also created some Loyalty Rewards for our fans who stick with us! Our 3 Month Loyalty Reward includes all of our Egyptian, Deserts, and Atlantis sets: over 1,000 models!! For the 6 Month Loyalty Reward, you get to choose! Your choices are between our Dwarven sets or our Sci-Fi sets: either of which is well over 1,000 models!

We use Discord as our main hub for both artists and fans, and we are proud of the welcoming community we've created. We would be honored to have you join us!

All of us at Aether Studios want to say thank you: your support gives us life. We know you have a lot of options for where to put your gaming funds, and we appreciate you choosing to support our studio! We take great joy in being a part of great tabletop games all over the world. We all look forward to gaming each week, so being a part of your game is a cherised honor for us.

Please don't hesitate to reach out! We love seeing pictures, meeting new members of the community, and hearing anecdotes of your games. We would love to hear from you!
