Feb will have a bunch of new characters to check out! First are Kaja and Vaati, two designs based off some of Velwyn and I's characters. And then the next two are to designs made my our two previous painting contest winners! Hadrey is designed by DrewofTheCoreyPress and then a Red Hooded character for Hasel! The last two are Caldormu, A brass dragon's human form, and one more still in the idea phase but I should have them done by the end of this week, so stay tuned!

Halfway though the minis for January! Up first are Squirrel Lass and two more Golem makers! The Tree-golem maker and the Ice-Golem maker! After some thought, decided to hold off on another painting contest for Nov-Dec, so this will be the last painting contest for the year. With that in mind, we picked two winners for this painting contest. If you want a refresher on all the wonderful entries, go check them all out here! Without further ado, here are our winners for the painting contest.

Neferit by LittleMiniPainter! The shading and highlighting came out fantastic - I mean, just look at the fur on that displacer beast! 🥰 📷 October diorama by Baldore. The subtle attention to details was such a great touch - from how the lamp posts' light up both our private investigator and detective, to how they incorporated the the TGM logo as graffiti! 📷 Kala, PI Informant by Shinobu. Kala's punk attitude was truly brought to life through a clean paint job with a wonderful execution of shading. 📷

And now! For our winners:

First of our two winners, we have Lunae by Hasel! So much life was captured in this diorama. Through the use of OSL and a beautiful palette of colors, Hasel was able to give this piece an ethereal, mystical feeling. 📷Second (but also first 😉), we have Hack by CoreyPress! Not only are the shading and highlights well done, but CoreyPress managed to give this gobbo more life and story through the cleanly executed tribal-esque / face paint markings. And those blue lashes? What a great touch. 📷 A huge congrats to all the winners! Painting contests will start up in 2025, ideally thinking January - March. More details on that come the new year. 😉 Can't wait to see what kickass things y'all paint next go-round!

So I wanted to mix up what I was doing for next month. I am thinking about the Modern minis I did back in the day and the Janan the Orc in particular. So for September I want to make 3 Modern and 3 Ancient designs! So whether you are hunting dinosaurs or modern monsters there should be something to enjoy in September! Hey there just wanted to pop in and let you know what to expect for the next couple of months. I have been wanting to revisit some old designs and characters from back when I started this whole thing 4 years ago. I think It will be fun to update old sculpts and see just how far I have grown as an artist and also to give some big favorites from back in the day some much needed love and updates. I'm calling it a re-forged release. The characters are going to be remade from scratch. I'm not 100% sure of the order they will be released in and there will still be some ++new models and commissions mixed in++to the two releases but some designs I am for sure going to redesign are:

• Millie/Skadi the Barbarian (She was originally one character split into two designs)
• Alistair the Elf Paladin
• Ellie the Genasi Mage
• Silv the Elf bard
• Silfie the Love Potion Maker
• Goldie the Goblin Alchemist And 2-3 undetermined older designs So I open it up to you guys. Are there some older designs of mine that you really loved that you would like to see re-forged? Take a look at some of the older ones if you need some direction.

Like I said in the previous post I only had 7 entrants and 12 submission so prizes are going to be a little different! Some details get washed out by that bright light though lol Dragon Goddess - MonCapitan Another super clean paint job by MonCapitan. Very crisp and super saturated as usual! Victoria the Sorceress - FukesTheThief Amazing Palette and details! I love the color range you get into the shadows. Dragon Goddess - OverlySaturatedMinis Very cute color scheme and crosshatching for shading leaves a pretty neat effect! Sybil the Warrior - Drew from the Corey Press Another super strong entry! I love how much range you got from a mostly achromatic color scheme The pops of red and gold really jump out! And now for the WINNER! A Work In Progress post for next month's minis! March will have another grab-bag feel before getting back into some theme releases for April Velwyn had another fun design she had been sitting on so the first model for March is the Dragon Goddess (more goddesses very soon) The previous painting contest winner Frooby has asked for a slime Goblin so here she is along with some others :D I also had some other western themed beastmen I had been wanting to make so those are ready too! I did another Goblin OC post on twitter back in November and I had LOTS of entries. We are just now to getting it all sorted (Thanks Velwyn!) There were over 130 OC designs submitted, so on that, I slit the voting into 4 groups that will get narrowed down to the top 12 for one final vote. We will be starting with Group 1 today and the next ones will slowly trickle in. If you submitted one and don't see your OC in any of the 4 polls, I either pulled in for a "will do at some point pile," or unfortunately you didn't adhere to the SFW requirement (which I was somewhat lenient on.) Twin Goddess Minis is now an official Lychee ambassador! If you didn't already know with every release I include a Lychee file for supports (supported by Ziomar). Lychee's toolset makes creating and adjusting supports for minis easy and saves a lot of time on one the more tedious parts of 3D printing. As an ambassador I will be able to get some pro licenses to give away for you all to try out! Keep and eye out for future post on how to grab one

In case you didn't already know Darkest Desire is easily my favorite mini props sculptor. They make a great variety of stylized props ranging from taverns, arcane libraries, and sensual dungeons :p

I wasn't surprised when "Oops all Goblins" won, but it was by a much larger amount than I was expecting! With that said September will be our second all goblin month to date! I have been looking through all the classes I have done already and realized there were some classes I have been neglecting for the green little lads and ladies. Ranger, Druid, and Cleric (and I guess Bloodhunter) currently have NO goblins D: So that's where I am planning on starting for the next set. ++BUT!++ As always feel free to drop ideas down in the comments. Hey everyone! I'm back from taking a trip to visit family out in post-apocalyptic NY city and now that my lungs are clear of smoke it's time for an update! I felt it was a good time for another expansion set for the Oaken Hollow Heroes, so set 3 is underway! Every contest is always hard for me to pick my favorites because I love them all so much. Seeing all of you paint my sculpts is always the biggest compliment I can get :) That said after almost 2 weeks of looking over the entries I think I have narrowed it down to this painting season's top 5! So here are the 4 runner ups in no particular order! HappyNerdStuff again makes the top 5 for their shiny rendition of Annie the New Year Goblin! Great colors and fun shine effect! RudolfusTheMagicMan's awesome take on the the previous winners design! The soft gradients and vibrant colors really made this one pop out! RikuBot went all out with this take on Koume the Hunter and the old Sand drake mini. Awesome work on all those stripes and a really fun color scheme! GameDelay's Witch Queen had a really good palette and I love the use of clear resin for the spell effect! and you did a great job painting her face despite the hat being in the way lol And my pick for this months Grand Prize Winner! PaintPusher's Callum the Wizard cat! Simple and clean painting. The subtle highlights of his blue cloak and the orange glowing gems really contrast each other well and makes reading the details on this tiny little guys really pop. Even the green eyes help tie the base into the composition. The little things made this an enjoyable mini for me :D

Hey everyone! So here are the plans for this month leading into May! Firstly, I will be gathering all the entries for the painting contest today and announcing winners this weekend! A gallery of the entries should be up sometime tomorrow. There isn't a theme for May! I'm going to be making a grab-bag of fun adventurers and NPCs that I have been wanting to so for some time! So expect lots of cool and some silly minis! Expect some more animal peoples, goblins, and cool ladies/dudes! As for the figures, Thanks for taking the time to answer my poll, I will be revisiting the idea of figure scale minis later on this year. As of right now they are not quite popular enough to warrant the extra cost of supports for them, but they will return in some capacity later on. I may open a figure tier so that it is at least self sustaining. But in the meantime I will use the extra time to continue working on more great minis :D Sorry to disappoint those of you who are really into the figures, I just need to figure out a way to make the process more feasible for me.

Well when we did the theme poll back in Feb we had a very close second. Strahdsilvania! I really like the idea so I will be making minis for that theme! Working on finishing up the rest of the Minis for Feb! Special guest mini for Feb is from @TheDansome on twitter of his Tiefling forge Cleric, Dahlia! After that is Mya the Halfling Bard, from out painting contest winner Rune! Then an old idea I had been meaning to get to, the Lizardfolk Shaman! And Autumn has been working up a Mimic rogue they wanted to do back in the Monster hunter set from last year! Those are what I have some sneak peeks of for now (It'll be a busy weekend lol) ++Final renders should be getting posted soon!++ There will be another fanart goblin and another supported figure scale mini as well! Also, there will be a poll coming up for the next set of figure sizes, but I think it would be fun to pick my most popular download for Feb to go alongside Thitania. So Jam the Slime Fighter will be the 2nd figure scale for Feb!

More than 75% of you like the idea of larger scale version of the minis and are ++presupported!++ With that in mind going forward (and I may do backlog slowly) I will release the normal 32mm version and now 75mm versions of each mini. Also some minis will get a 128mm(deskfigure) scale based off poll winners each month. The 75mm requires no extra work from me and keying for the 128mm takes me an hour or so so don't feel like it will detract from the regular releases. If the 128mm catch on I may do more of them each month. So lets start out with two a month for now and the first one will be the new Thitania model! The second will be a vote from you all sometime next week.

We have an awesome crossover this month with Naga Minis! They have some lovely bards for you guys to celebrate the recent success of the Bardic Beatdown set! These minis will be available this month as a bonus download. With my Kickstarter "Bardic Beatdown" just around the corner (Launch page release very soon!) I wanted to ask what kind of stretch goals would you like to see? Now is the time to just go out there on suggestions. I am curious as to what other things my backers would like to see from me! As of right now the release contains 2 stages, 4 bands (11 bards) as well as Band Posters, a Battle map, and a 5e compatible Combat System with turn counters. Hey everyone! I am back from my first trip to Gencon! Met a lot of great people and found some really cool stuff!

Now that I am back I wanted to let you all know that will be going down this month in preparation for September.

September's release will be a combination of a small set of heroes from a League of Legends-inspired (Not the actual place for obvious reasons) setting and just some ideas that I wanted to make.

Oaken-Hollow Heroes-

will be the main release with a small party of adventurers in a high fantasy style, including far-away warriors, magi-tech wizards, and conquerors from a brutal empire.

I will also be making some just for fun minis including of course a goblin of some kind :p

Another project has been in the works behind the scenes for some time and is getting close to ready to be put out in the world.

Battle of The Bards (official name to be decided)-

is a set and combat system that I have been working on slowly behind the normal monthly releases. I am planning to release these minis as a kickstarter/crowdfunded release with some stretch goals. The base set will include 5 bands, two stages, and a playtested 5e adjacent combat system to pit band against band in a rock battle to the death! The official launch date isn't set yet but I'm hoping to get the page up in September. I have a good chunk of the band members done and in progress, so you might catch me streaming them in August.

I just wanted to let you know I have decided on a theme for the July release! It was suggested both here and on discord a while back and I thought it would be fun.

So the next set of minis will be TwinGoddessMini Beach Vacation!

Given it's that time of year I will be revisiting TGM characters and their trip to the beach! Grub will be bringing the barbecue!

I'm currently working on the armor idea for the Gelatinous cube Hunter! I want this one to be a bit sillier than the others if you couldn't tell... I still need to add stuff stuch in the slime, but I'm enjoying it so far.

Based on Rexxar from WoW (One of my wife and I's favorite characters) So maybe he's half ogre too? lol I put a size comp in there to show

I was recently contacted by a YOUSU rep and got some free resin to try out and do a review of!

Let me first state I have no affiliation with the company they just were nice enough to send me some free resin, and honestly, it works great so I have no issue telling you all about it.

I was given some of the iForm grey resin to try out and did some tests with it, both by itself and mixed with some of my tenacious resin.

In both cases, it worked really well and It had some interesting properties. Firstly the base material seems a bit sturdier than something like anycubic resin and gripped my build plate so well it was actually a little tough to get off, but hey, nothing fell off right?! The weird thing (which ended up really nice) Is that hot glue does not want to stick to this stuff. I typically hot glue the mini to a popsicle stick for priming and it freed itself with very little effort!

It has a smoother glossy finish after cure and holds the details and primer well too.

The rep was glad I had a good experience so they also gave me a coupon to share. So if you need some more resin give them a try!

After much tiebreaking and deliberation, The Judges have come to a conclusion! There were so many great entries, like for real tho. I was amazed by the quality and just gorgeous techniques used. And the dioramas were hilarious and so clever! But it had to be narrowed down, and after tallying up all the points here are the top picks! You will have a chance to win a free month of minis as well as one GRAND PRIZE WINNER will get to design a custom mini for the next release.

Rules for entry:

• Fill out your ENTRY FORM
• You must paint a mini from the current season's releases.
• Submissions must be made through Instagram or Reddit /r/minipainting (And discord for patrons)
• The deadline for entry is at the end of each season

• Previously painted minis are not allowed (must be done during the season)

That again was a super close race! Tribes poll drastically narrowed the gap from the Patreon poll

But rules are rules, and I make them up as I go along, so! Tavern Playset will be the theme for February BUT Fantasy Office will be the theme for March! I will have multiple rounds votes for what kind of office characters you'd like to see starting later this month!

That way the office characters will be done too and free up more spots for future themes :)

So what should you expect for Tavern Playset? I will be making a diorama-style set of NPCs for all your tavern needs! Is that Mysterious loner at the bar? A rowdy drinking contest and arm wrestling? A friendly barkeep? And lots of throwbacks to really fill the place out! Expect a busy room with fun props and much more memorable characters!
